Hi, just wondering whether you think I'd have a chance at UTAS as a non school leaver (first year interstate uni student) with a UMAT of 81st percentile and GPA of around 6.9, with my ATAR being 99.85?

Hello, I was just wondering about the subjects you did in high school? And did they have to relate with medicine?

So sorry about the late reply - I’ve been so swamped.

I did English, Maths B, Maths C, Chemistry, Physics, Senior French and Advanced French :)

As for having to relate to medicine, when I applied as a year 12 student you had to have taken English, Maths B and Chemistry or take a bridging course.

Interestingly you might have noticed that I didn’t take biology (which would be probably the most relatable to medicine). It wasn’t a requisite, at my high school it was poorly taught and I was informed that you had to take bio at university anyway - which is why I didn’t take it.

Hey there Akhila! Hmm probably 20? I’m not too sure on the exact figures. It usually changes per year. You need a 70% weighted average. At UQ that was a 5.8(?) or something GPA. No worries! Message if you need anything else xo
