I’m an 18 year old gay trans man of color who is also physically and mentally disabled. I recently came to Canada to stay with a friend and to get away from my abusive family.

During my stay I realized I have a fractured rib, and after a visit to the emergency room I was told that receiving any health care would be very expensive because I am not a Canadian citizen. The fee for seeing a doctor at a walk in clinic is $150-$200. Accessing medical care once I am home will be extremely difficult because of my family.

My main concern is getting a refill for my Albuterol, which was left behind when I had my medication refills shipped to me. I have 14 doses left and normally average 3 a day. I have had to ration this so breathing has been difficult, made worse by the fact that I’m having a flare up (Cyclic Neutropenia) which causes me pain and difficulty breathing on its own. We were told this would cost at least $700.

My friend and I were also left without food in their home after their mom unexpectedly left, so having $50 for groceries would really help. If anyone could send a couple dollars or even just reblog this post I would appreciate it so so much.

Big Update:

My dad had called me a few days ago and grew increasingly angry at me and said that I have to come home before October 1st, even threatening me and trying to control me by telling me that the money I had could not be used on food or medicine, and only on a plane ticket

My mom was just as angry and both accused me of lying and grew increasingly hostile towards me

I don't have a visa to stay here yet, and I know I would eventually have to go home, and I fear if I don't go back by the deadline, I won't be welcomed back into the house and they will only treat me worse

At this point, I do not have enough money to buy a plane ticket, which is only causing more tension
