Food for thought
Sometimes I wish I had no sense of empathy or kindness. I just don't want to worry about anyone else but myself. But then I realize, that is what makes me me.
it's a pretty hard game to be honest. I haven't even unlocked the second disease yet and I played the game several times. if you want cavities anytime soon, butterbeer is the way to go. It's a really unhealthy drink but it tastes so good LOL
I actually unlocked the virus and fungus type disease a few hours after I saw your post hahaha. It's pretty addicting. Mannn.. I just got back the use of my teeth, don't want to ruin them nowww
Perseverance
One thing that 2012 has taught me has been to persevere. I have faced many adversities throughout the year that it's not even funny. Fall 2012 was possibly my toughest semester tackling on pledging for a fraternity, taking a course load of 16 units, and spending a good portion of the semester at the hospital. Despite what my peers, professors, and academic advisors suggested, I stayed enrolled in all my classes with all of my hardships and obtained a 3.71 GPA. I'm not looking for pity or sympathy, and I understand that many others out there have it tougher than I do. The point I am trying to make is that even in the toughest of times, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Unwired
I finally got my jaw unwired yesterday morning. I'm able to open my mouth to eat solid foods again but my jaw REALLY hurts. All of my jaw muscles suffered atrophied in the month that I didn't/couldn't use it. My first meal was sushi thanks to my wonderful amazing friends. I still can't eat a burger though which is kind of disappointing. I feel like i'm relearning how to eat and use my mouth. At one point during the day i didn't realize that I could now open my mouth to talk. It was a bit strange hearing my own voice again after a month of mumbled speech.
Winter
As the new year comes closer, the end of a semester comes too. I've gone through so much this semester whether it be good or bad, i'm happy it happened to me because in the end it made me a stronger and better person. Ever since my unfortunate accident I've been pretty crippled or useless; i'll be back to my normal self really soon though. I have so many things I want to accomplish or do this winterbreak.
December 14th: Surgery to take out the wires in my mouth (this means I will be able to eat solid food again! So excited! If any of you really want to lose weight go on a all liquid diet, trust me I lost 19 pounds and counting within a month)
December 16th: Catch up with the bartending coworkers.
December 18th : Last Final
December 22nd: Ugly sweater party with the fraternity
December 23rd: Secret Santa Christmas Party with friends from back home, the ancient land of the 626
December 24th: Christmas Eve, I don't know what I will be doing
December 25th: Christmas, I don't know what I will be doing on this day either
December 28th: Remove the remaining metal in my mouth (which is the metal brace to make sure my teeth are aligned properly)
Teaching Abroad
I went to talk with my academic advisor today regarding my schoolwork and classes. And it's crazy honestly, i'm on track to graduate with my bachelors of arts in liberal studies by spring 2014. Most people in this day and age graduate out of the CSU's and UC's system in 5 to 6 years because of budget cuts and lack of classes. It's really hard to believe that I once I am done with finals I will only have 3 semesters of college left.
My plans for after college? I always pictured myself working part or full time in an afterschool or enrichment program while getting my credential to someday teach in a public school. But one day while catching up with a friend, he mentioned to me about a program where you can teach abroad in foreign countries. I guess now my goal is to teach abroad after college in either Hong Kong, Tokyo, or Seoul for 2 or 3 years. I really want to do this opportunity just to experience something different and new.
Catching Up
I took about two weeks off of school just to get alot of my priorities done such as checkups and surgery for my jaw. Upon my arrival back I was heavily bombarded with papers and assignments that seemed to be past overdue. It's quite funny really, my first day back into my K-12 Health Science class my professor stated that "Your health is good until it's not". It's quite true honestly; I was in good shape and ever since the accident I have been pretty much dead weight. All I did throughout my recovery time was eat and sleep and now I pay the price of catching up on everything I miss. I also really miss eating solid foods :(
Kina Grannis - Gone
Slut-O-Ween Pt. 2
I decided to take advantage of the fact that you can dress up as slutty as you want on Halloween and get away with it. I really do like how my legs look in this picture, it really does put other girl's leg to shame. Too bad I don't have a big bust to show off.
Slut-O-Ween
I never really understood the concept of Halloween. I mean it's a day where everyone is allowed to dress up in whatever costume they like, however I always see high school and college girls abuse the term 'costume' as an excuse to dress as slutty and revealing as they want. It's literally like that Mean Girls moment when Lindsay Lohan's character learns about the 'Slut Rule' when she asks Amanda Seyfried's character what her costume was and her response was a mouse. I'm just saying ladies, if you always question why men treat you like objects, take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror before leaving the house. I'm not saying that you bring it upon yourself, but it doesn't really help the cause either.
Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child (feat. John Martin) "Up on the hill across the blue lake, that's where I had my first heart break, I still remember how it all changed"
Hey, I think you're a really cool guy. The kind of guy who has a really good story and secretly wants everyone to read it and admire you. The person you are deep down inside really made an impact on me, and it makes me want to be open about myself. Q
I'm not sure what to make of this but thank you.
Wilson
Back in October of 2010 I decided to actually dress up/make a costume. I normally don't like Halloween as I think it's just a Holiday where girls are allowed to dress as skimpy as they can and get away with it. However, seeing as how this was my first 'college' Halloween, I decided I might as well dress up to amuse some people at a party. I thought to myself why not be clever and dress up as Wilson the volleyball from Castaway; people already knew me as Wilson, the guy that likes to play volleyball so it only seemed right.
Gosh.. I look so.. young..
Slow Dance
If this was the last dance of the night. Would you join me till the morning light. Dance the night away cause it feels right.
Food
As school becomes more stressful and busy I notice a pattern in my diet. As my schedule becomes hectic I resort to eating crap. For the first two weeks of school I never really went out to buy food; I mainly made dinners for myself because growing up I was taught by my mom and grandparents how to cook. The only exception was a shaved ice parlor known as Get Shaved, but then again I wouldn't really count it because it is more of a treat than a meal. A normal lunch or dinner would look like the picture above or would usually be a steak or chicken meal with a few sides. But now, I find myself buying food on campus or off campus just out of shear convenience. I really need to find more time so I can make good food instead of buying crappy one.
