Blast from the past! On May 5, 1958—opening day of the Public Service Building—BWS cashier, Mrs. Dannette Brown, assists the first customer, the first female customer, and the first couple. The unique and architecturally renowned building on Beretania Street, designed by the architecture firm of Wood, Weed, and Kubala, has been a central hub for the BWS to serve the Oahu community.
