I’ve been locked away in the studio for a while, working on the next 5 Seconds of Summer album, that I decided to treat myself to a beach day. I figured it would be nice to have a relaxing day and actually get out in the sun for a little bit to relax. And it was great! I brought my boogie board and caught a few small waves, enjoyed a nice frozen lemonade in the hot sun, and even caught up with a few friends. The only downside is that I lost track of time and completely forgot to keep reapplying my sunscreen. So with my first sunburn of the season, I guess my summer has officially kicked off. @townofbayview

I for one can’t wait for all the new music this town is creating, it’s like a bunch of mad musical scientist live in this town and I am not mad at it at all. Plus that means I can surprise my fans with more covers that aren’t half as good as the original. Always apply your sunscreen! That’s a must in the sun.

Congratulations on the new one arriving soon, are you nervous? Or are you more excited than anything? I’m not a mommy yet, so when that time comes I’m hoping for tips from you, deal? I’ll just help with the crazy cravings if you need anything.

Well, I woke up one year older and wiser, but with this same haggard, old face. Jokes aside, I spent my birthday stuffing my face with way too much cake and receiving the best cuddles from Lily and Dodger— the two loves of my life. It got me thinking about how blessed I am to be living in this wonderful town for 6 months, surrounded by the bunch of ‘ya— and also, birthday parties! Remember when roller skating rinks were a popular thing where the cool kids went? Or going to a fair and eating a bunch of caramel apples while holding an outrageous shaped balloon made by a creepy clown, or at Chuck E’ Cheese’s where they’d line up and sing you Happy Birthday with some pizza? I wanna go back to being a kid, so bad. Do you remember your favorite birthday party— and if so, when and what was it? Mine was when I turned fifteen, and it was Star Wars themed, obviously. / @townofbayview

First off happy belated birthday and secondly your domestic bliss just sounds amazing and I’m not jealous in any way shape or form. I mean other than the Dodger cuddles, we need a play date soon with him, Bowie and John. I think I had a SPICE GIRLS themed birthday before, and a Mario Brothers that one was fun.

I remember when I was still working on making a little cheddar, no pun there. But anyway a optician clinic? Do tell about that. Welcome to Bayview! I’m Brie and I can’t wait to get to know you.

I think I understand what you’re trying to say. It’s definitely a bit difficult for most people and for some people they never get the big break and for other people they get lucky. I’m definitely grateful for the fact I had a roof over my head and food in my stomach no matter what I did. I was mostly a glorified shop girl. I didn’t get to actually do any exams. Thanks for the welcome.

With school ending in a couple of weeks and the weather getting a little warmer, my kids keep asking to get the pool and trampoline cleaned out. My response is always “I’ll do it tomorrow” but here we are… a month later, and still no clean pool and gunk all over the trampoline. What’s something that you keep putting off that you need to get done? Make me feel a little better about myself or give me some motivation. @townofbayview

I mean I just perfected my one arm lift of my whole body, like the whole enchilada, aren’t you proud of me?! But I would help you with all that whatever is needing done.

This is all really exciting, and if I stammer on a word or two tonight, it’s obviously totally planned. It’s crazy how what was just a thought I had while watching re-runs of Saturday Night Live is becoming reality tonight…during the season finale of SNL. But we won’t mention that. Instead, you should tell me your favorite joke of all time. It can be so bad it’s funny or actually funny. Whichever it is, thank you so much for coming, it means a lot to me, and if you didn’t, you’re really missing out. Because there’s a free drink, on me so it’s not free for me, for everyone who’s here. I really hope you those who were able to make it enjoy your night.

I just got back into the town, I finally get to stay here for a few months and put down some roots before I have to go back out to Vancouver to film. I want to find some fun things to do to keep me busy, so if anyone has any ideas send them my way and if anyone is free to do any of them I am up for it.

Welcome to town or rather back to town, sorry. Well the Getaway opening is in full swing so there’s that but I’m always down for some fun things to do! Is Captain Marvel allowed to be friends with Superman? Do you think it will cause a war?

I always make the mistake when I move to just have the removal people just move the stuff from one place to the other. I never have them sorting it out. So this time I made sure I asked them. Of course when I got here, I had to make some adjustments to where they put stuff but other than that, I am all moved in. Anyway…I’m Meryl and I am love this town already.
