I got a few of these messages which all say the same thing. I gave a similar reply on Twitter, but I can give it again here, maybe even more in-depth.

For those who don’t know, I’m in a band with Penny Parker called Go! Child. this year, we released our second album, Coffee and Ramen. We spent a good two years getting the songs we wanted to make just right, and we think it paid off in a major way, and it seems you all agreed.

Saying thank you to all of you for your support is the very LEAST that I could do considering all of these stats. And this isn’t even counting the people who listen on Apple Music or the MANY people who downloaded it on ITunes or Amazon or Google Play!

Combine this with the many, MANY messages I’ve received from people talking about how much they’ve been enjoying this music and I’m almost overwhelmed with all of your kindness! I know I haven’t been able to reply to a lot of those asks, but please know that everything you send in is read and appreciated, and I could not be more grateful. There have been so many people who have said that our music has helped them through rough times, whether it be the stress moving or finals or incredibly dark and harrowing times, and it’s so so fulfilling and gratifying to know that what we do is helping the world in some way.

And finally,

If you showed me this picture even as early as a year ago, I doubt I would even believe it. Thank you all so much. For all of your support throughout this year and to many of you for your support in the years before.

I can’t wait for the future of Go! Child
