It looks like a war zone. It’s not. It is an old building giving up it’s space for something new. That is how it works sometimes. The past must be removed for something new. 

Some of the past, the old, we keep. We maintain it. We modify it. Give it a purpose. But not this building. 

I’m not sure what stood there earlier. I just now that this pile of rubble and rocks, once was something with a purpose. A meaning. But not anymore.

It looks good through a lense, though.

One of my absolute favorite photographers, Brassaï. Truly inspiring way of documenting a life in Paris.

Most of the time I feel like this picture; Alone in the attempt to maneuver through a landscape. Most of my life I have kept a safe distance to the sea. It is as if Poseidon himself will drag me under if I get too close. 

I do swim, but I’m not very good at it. I do dive, but without any form of style of finesse. I have opened my eyes underneath the surface, and stared into the abyss, just to crawl back on steady ground. But most of the time I have been watching the sea from a safe distance. Most of the time.
