If you're afraid you'll get hate for the content you posted you can deactivate the comments and limit the reblogs (please never share inappropriate content)

When you reblog stuff that you think can fit basic dni criteria or you think could be triggering for your mutuals, add trigger warnings and flag the post, using Tumblr's newest feature, as containing adult material

I'd say this is adding insult to injury, but no. It's just another fucking injury.

I don't know if Netflix is tone-deaf or just malicious ... but there is no allyship in a show that uses its lesbian character (Robin) to fuel a cishet man's self-acceptance arc, gives the audience a male-gaze lesbian kiss, has the lesbian couple break up off-screen, and erases Robin's edginess and individuality in favour of tradfem styling.

And there is absolutely no allyship in a show that subjects its major gay character (Will) to repeated torture, both physical and emotional/psychological, that queer-codes the torturer and makes his abuse of Will paedophilic, that uses Will's love and pain to prop up an extraordinarily toxic het relationship, that writes a forced coming-out scene that is nothing more than a ritual humiliation, and to top it all off, relegates Will to being a lonely, desperate gay picking up in bars.

To use Stranger Things to promote Pride Month is a slap in the face to every queer viewer. It's not allyship, it's just more shitty exploitation.
