It is very refreshing for me to see that you really celebrate Minseok and his hotness. This man needs to be appreciated more. Majority of times your tags very much express what we are really thinking but are too shy to put in writing. I really enjoy all your XiuChen references. Is it only me who thinks that Jongdae is very protective of Minseok? I would love it if you could give us your take on Minseok‘s personality off stage. What do you think he is really like (including in bed). And finally, where can I find your legendary fanfiction? Thank you.

'Minseok is supremely smashable’ is the only correct take and I refuse to believe real people with working eyes and even ones without say otherwise.

I guess I’d call Jongdae protective of Minseok? But I think ‘intensely attuned to’ is a better way to describe it. Jongdae’s care-taking streak is for real, and he’s watchful and fussy over his people, with Minseok at the top of that list ofc. He’ll make sure hyung is warm, share his water bottle, do variety with him, blot his sweat, give his full attention when he talks, hand him a mic, share a bag, IRON HIS FUCKING CLOTHES etc. And anyone who approaches or touches Minseok gets watched like a hawk.

But Jongdae doesn’t overtly defend him very often (eg from Baekhyun or Sehun or members trying to grope his abs) and he doesn’t worry over him when they’re doing ~thrilling~ stuff like the ropes course or riding horses or whatever. Minseok yells and Jongdae laughs & shouts encouraging things. Minseok’s an adult and Jongdae clearly trusts him to make his own calls about things.

Where I think he does get protective is in less certain situations, like hectic airports---Jongdae will put his arm around him and pull him close, giving the stink eye to the crowd as they walk. The difference is that Jongdae isn’t blanket coddling him out of some general need to protect, he’s responding to Minseok: if hyung isn’t comfortable then Jongdae will fix it.

Uh, as far as what Minseok is really like....that’s a whole post on it’s own (and i’m pretty sure I’ve written at least one for the ‘in bed’ portion), but the short version is I think he’s an exhibitionist introvert who genuinely likes his job and knows how fortunate he is, and does his best to make the most of it. He seems determined to have a good time (which is really attractive imo). He likes a routine and keeping active and is easier to live with than you think. He will drink you under the table and probably asks lots of questions during movies.

Idk about legendary fanfic but there's fucked up porn and ficlets scattered around here (mostly in the texxxt and ask games tags), and the official words are on ao3.

I realised recently that... Minseok doesn't really talk about Jongdae that much whereas Jongdae talks about his Minseokkie hyung any chance he gets. Not saying this means anything cause idk what to make of it, any thoughts wise dickblog?

Despite pondering this for a week (sorry about that btw) I’m not super satisfied with my answer but short of rewatching years worth of footage I don’t think I’ll have a better one.

Minseok isn’t shy about talking about Jongdae, he’ll pick him in questionnaire games and constantly praise his singing & work ethic in interviews, and he’s a fucking menace in public, teasing & flirting with him to his face just to watch Chenchen squirm all shy & pleased.

(Here’s where my dataset is on thin ice.) My sense is that Jongdae brings up Minseok more unprompted than vice versa, which I think is what you’re noticing---he’ll will turn interview questions to Minseok and doodle his name in window condensation like a schoolgirl with a crush and generally be like ‘have you heard about my hyung? Minseok? he’s great and handsome and also smells good and he’s my hyung. Minseok. Minseok-hyung.’

So why was Minseok stopping strangers on the street to tell them about Sehunnie’s gold chain, for example? My guess is that Minseok knows Sehun responds more & better to that sort of public praise than Jongdae does. Jongdae only gives a fuck about what 5 people think and I doubt he cares how he gets that feedback.

But Minseok talking about how much he likes his gift while showing it off and sharing its lovely meaning from their thoughtful maknae? That’s catnip to someone like Sehun who tries soooooooo hard, especially for his hyungs. I’m sure the praise had him preening and all the public recognition was better than any bday gift Minseok could have given him.
