Our fancomic focuses on the evil-future-fusion of Danny and Vlad, and is also an attempt to push the character's flexibility. The AU diverges off after A Glitch In Time, but will use characterization of everyone else from Fair Game, and hopefully future official comics that might exist!

personally i do not prefer when stories engaging with complicated topics attempt to make themselves good educational resources on said complicated topics

and i understand that sometimes it's a very thin line between giving a realistic depiction of a serious topic and ending up in after-school special mode, but i also notice that no one is doing this when a character gets the flu (which kills many people every year) and PERSONALLY i don't love the patterns i'm vaguely sensing about which experiences can be depicted normally and which experiences must always be a learning opportunity

The reason you can't be the next J R R Tolkien isn't because you don't have the talent, but because you're not the right kind of unwell. Tolkien wasn't bent for fantasy worldbuilding; he was bent for constructed languages, and got into fantasy worldbuilding in order to provide a material context in which to ground the notional evolution of the languages he invented. If you want to be the next Tolkien, you can't start with the worldbuilding; you've gotta find something extremely specific to fixate on, and develop it in such depth that inventing a world to contain it is genuinely the most logical next step.

Now, look, I am going to head this off before you get at me for the Media Literacy score - I'm reviewing a literal, physical game disc. Someone put it in the little guy machine, here at the institute, so this is- I don't know who, or why, but the team has been hard at work on this one, IGUESS, and- well, look- it's the result, okay? But. It's an inert disk. The game on it is very good! One of my favorites! And well written! But, like. You get what I'm saying? This is an inanimate object. IDK.
