Beside me, quickly grabbing my attention, I look up at her, confused. Through my foggy glasses, she signals for me to follow the bag on my shoulder. Sipping down lightly, I lower my head and follow along. "Your time's almost up; you should get some sleep," Clockwork says ominously. My eyebrow shot up, confusion rising. "Where am I supposed to sleep, Clockwork?" I asked with mild concern. She rolled her eyes and raised both her hands as if trying to be sarcastic. "In your room...? Where else would you sleep, silly! Also, call me Nat," she added with a smile. I returned a grin and slowly made my way up the stairs. Once we got to the top, Nat gestured with her hand to the second-to-last on the right. I thanked her and walked down the hall. I gently opened the door, but before walking in, I looked at the door beside mine; it had a poster on the door saying "No Girls Allowed" (get the ref?😂).
I shrugged lightly and made my way into the room; the smell of morning dew and fresh sheets filled my senses as I placed my bag down. I took a step towards a desk sitting in the corner of the room. Looking around, I realised the walls were my F/C. I giggled to myself when I noticed someone standing in the doorway. "Toby?" I
Cautiously answering, afraid of getting his name wrong, he gave me a big smile that didn't last long before his neck shook violently to the side. He grunted and stepped into the room, fully holding a piece of paper in his hands. "Slender s-said to give t-t-this to you f-fo-for your first mission!" His grin widened the scar on his cheek, showing more of his pearly teeth. I stepped forward, the floorboards creaking under my weight. "Is it like instructions?" I asked, a ray of sun hitting my face through the window. Toby glanced at me through his thick brown lashes.
Pupils dilating suddenly; he gave me a half smile and rubbed the back of his head. "Uhm...h-he" A click of his hand interrupted him. "Also assigned me t-to be your p-p-partner." He said barely above a husky whisper. I just nodded and was scanning my eyes through the list; most of the writing was about the plan to take down campers who were camped a little too close for Big Slendy's liking, which seemed easy enough. Toby took one last glance at me, a smirk rising on his face, his freckles squished together. "I'll see you tomorrow at 6 am sharp," He added with a wink and strutted out of the room and closed the door behind him. I hummed and sat on my bed, the covers sinking around me as I sat down, placing the piece of paper on my bedside table, reaching up to close the curtains. Then I strolled over to my dresser, but upon opening the drawer, I saw a bunch of clothes that were exactly my style. My eyes widened a bit as I picked up some sleep shorts and a long-sleeved shirt. Not long after, I set my alarm to 5:30 am and then drifted into a long, deep sleep.
