limbus (/'lɪm.bəs/) — any/all

it’s name originates from the latin word for ‘edge’, ‘border’, fitting, as he’s neither alive or death. as the entity that becomes limbus invades their human host, their body eventually becomes a husk of its former self, a flesh suit, driven around by a being incapable of emotion.

just like in the tombsona canon, limbus is neither its host or this entity— they are their own entity, their own thing, with personal goals, achievements and aspirations. though, the lingering memories of a past self still remain in the very back of his mind.

she isn’t based on a specific time period, but they do take inspiration from knights for their design (not medieval times, just knights in general). as its reasons for existing, she’s essentially the embodiment of justice, a creature who has vowed itself to protect the innocent, saving humanity by sacrificing its own.

this leaves them feeling somewhat ‘inferior’ to humans, leaving them with low self-worth and helper syndrome
