I did a rather naughty thing just now….but listen, it was an accident, okay? I didn’t have enough butter to make my cookies so I used some of my brother’s pot butter thinking like, oh! After a 32 hour shift, Alaska was tired and getting a little bit frustrated. She decided it was best for her to get some fresh air, go to the park and try and think more clearly. She had several papers in her hand, everything she needed to know about her patients and notes that she took after talking to them and when she bumped into someone all the papers went flying to the floor “Fuck” she tried to get some of them “Sorry, I wasn’t looking”

readjusting the strap of the messenger bag she had slung over her body, cae would normally get a bit annoyed when someone knocked into her but considering she hadn’t been paying even the slightest bit of attention to her surroundings herself, and the fact the blonde looked more than a little frazzled, she let this one slid with just a hard sigh as she got the bag back situated right before crouching down to help gather up the papers before the wind could snatch them and turn it into a bigger ordeal. “ it’s fine, i could have been watching my path a little better myself. no harm, no foul, right? ”

Beth was walking outside and really had no idea where she was going — especially due to the fact she was looking down at her phone the entire time. there was a cringe on cae’s face when she saw the phone hit the ground - books could withstand the plunge but most times, you definitely had luck on your side if a phone came back up completely unscathed and even seeing someone else’s hit the ground was heart stopping - but it was replaced by a soft smile as she realized the girl had noticed her. cae had her bouts of clumsiness and the last thing that ever made it feel any better was knowing someone had been witness. “ here. ‘ holding out a piece of paper that had come un-lodged from one of the books as they fell and floated close to cae’s foot, she took a glance around to make sure nothing else had fallen astray. “ don’t worry, sometimes after class i want to throw my books straight to the ground too. “ offering up a laugh and an excuse she knew wasn’t the case behind the dropping, she didn’t want to make her feel embarrassed by the mishap. “ granted, a lot of the times i’m carrying mannequin heads and not books and would probably cause major concern if i did but still, it’s always a strong urge. ”

“ we've actually got eight eclipses coming up giving it a second thought, the one coming up first at the start of next year is going to be a total lunar eclipse so it’s far from the same thing but it’s an astronomical event either way. i don’t know if the solar eclipse is being toted as a once in a lifetime event just for americans or if there’s not going to be another full one in this perceivable lifetime which if that’s the case, i’m going to have to start eating my veggies so i can live forever. i swear though we're supposed to be getting a total solar eclipse in 2028 though so i SHOULD still be kicking for it if i'm right. ”

“ i love the moon - and i guess the stars too by proxy - but everything about the moon has always just given me peace since i was a kid and while we get some pretty amazing astronomical events of our own around here, i’m not really keen to wait until next year to witness a total full eclipse of our own. i’d throw logic and sensibility to the wind and hop a flight to the states and go to one of the areas that’ll have totality but i also like having money to cover rent and food to eat so while not being a fan of the choice, i have to be an adult over this one. other side of the world though? where’d you come from? i mean...most everything is probably other side of the world when here but still. ”
