At first, I was annoyed that there wasn’t a kiss between Jayce and Viktor, and then I realized that the bond between them is so much stronger than that and is shown in such small wonderful details that aren’t nearly as explicit but mean so much more because they’re personalized.

The heads touching being a Zaunite gesture that Jayce, who once looked down upon the undercity, initiates. The way that when Jayce was hallucinating in the alternate universe (most likely with a high fever from his leg getting infected), staring at the fire, symbolizing passion, Mel faded away to show Viktor. No, not faded away. She melted away to show it was always Viktor underneath.

Jayce literally having his leg broken, crawling up from the undercity to Piltover with nothing, gaining perspective of Viktor’s life.

Viktor desperately looking to Jayce for approval for his creation, the “glorious evolution”, despite believing he has surpassed human emotion.

Viktor gently caressing Jayce’s arm as he grimaces in pain as their souls are becoming completely interconnected.

In every single timeline, it was Jayce. It could only be Jayce.

In every single timeline, he would choose Viktor. He would always choose Viktor.

This is beyond romance, beyond friendship— they are destined. There’s something much more beautiful about that to me

This is what hurts me so much about the scene “I’ll miss our talks,” with Skye responding, “no, you won’t.”

Viktor really, truly from the bottom of his heart, wishes he cared about Skye more. But he never was interested in interacting with her from the start, she was just an assistant to him while he was wishing it was Jayce next to him instead.

And then she got warped into the Hexcore, and later Viktor did too and suddenly Skye, his assistant he feels intense guilt for having killed, is right there, sharing the astral plane with him.

And he does what he feels like he should do: to befriend her, to force himself to put all this energy into a friendship for her, because the only thing that could make this better would be if there was a positive outtake- of “at least they became friends”- to try and gain any semblance of light out of a horrible situation.

But that’s not how that works— you cannot force a friendship to happen. They occur naturally. Viktor tried so, so hard. And it never would be enough, because it’s not about effort.

He was unable to cope with the fact that sometimes bad things happen that shouldn’t have and there’s no takeaway or lesson. He was unable to recognize that his guilt for what happened didn’t mean that he cared about her for who she was as a person, but rather he cared for her in the sense of he knew she was a living human being who shouldn’t have died.

It was guilt. It’s always been guilt that’s tied them together from his perspective. And he says, “I’ll miss our talks,” to try and make her feel like he values her because he so badly wants to, but Skye can cut through it.

“No. You won’t.”

I found a time capsule video from my 16 year old self and I watched it, expecting to be embarrassed and it literally was the sweetest video where my past self was nothing but unconditionally supportive of future me

It was so wholesome and I realized that if others see me in this way then I have been very, very wrong about how others perceive me this whole time because I literally thought multiple times, “what a sweetheart!!!”

I’ve always been a bit different, but I’ve also seen now how endearing and wholesome from an outside perspective too

One day I’m going to get a tattoo for my past self— I’ve decided to always have my past self’s back, because I know they have mine 😤🥺🥺

I wish I could go back and say all the cool things I’m up to now because I know I would have just loved hearing about it 💗💗
