ryu is...confused, to say the least. after all, it isn’t often that anyone approaches him out of the blue, and even then it’s typical that their purpose is obvious, if dull. but this girl doesn’t seem to have any discernible reason for trying to sneak up behind him, other than perhaps attempting to annoy him or elicit a response of some kind. though she’s failed to do much of the former he has acknowledged her existence before she’s made herself known and in a sense that is an accomplishment. tilting his head to the side, eyes flicked upwards, he is rather unnerved at how cheerful this girl is, after all there really isn’t anything to be so utterly happy about in the first place, let alone anything to do with him when all he’s done is sit here and create wind. perhaps, he muses, she’s in need of an air conditioner or a fan and thought the best way would be to ask him. he immediately dismisses the thought because he’d never agree to anything of that sort but honestly, it’s the most plausible theory he’s come up with so far. he’s surprised, when they prod him in the shoulder with their finger - but doesn’t do anything other than raise an eyebrow, more amused than annoyed. his expression freezes for a moment as he processes the question, after all, it isn’t everyday that someone compares you to blood sucking horror movie fodder. he smiles, letting his teeth show as he tilts his head, “I don’t really care, I’ll drink anything.” playfully sliding a tongue over his incisors, he adds, “in case you were wondering, that does include blood.” his hand shifts in the barest of acknowledgements, “Jae Ryu, seventh year.” he shrugs in response, letting them interpret that as they will - the seat isn’t taken but he isn’t entirely invested in continuing this interaction any longer. his fingers returning to making deft gestures, the air a slight brush over his skin as it shoots out to skitter pebbles across the floor into neat piles. moving the stacks of stones around absently, he waits.
