I miss my Superwholock era, I got yelled at to like break my RPs because we’d write novels to each other and clog up the dashboard
I was so creative with my writing now I write dumb corporate emails on the clock and anarchist ramblings off the clock
Whiplash oof
Going through my old Tumblr’s archive and cringing out of existence
Anyway I am returning to this place I hope, maybe

TL;DR – Twitter thread by a library worker on a news article about a woman who pulled hundreds of books out of a library dumpster and donated them to an underserved school. THOSE BOOKS WERE THROWN OUT FOR A REASON. Like outdated science, racism, and misogyny. #ContextMatters

What to do if you suddenly find yourself homeless
FOOD
Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food
grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread
different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.
some dollar stores carry food like cans of beans or fruit
SHELTER
Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment
sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone can’t steal it
Some churches offer short term residence
Find your nearest homeless shelter
Look for places that are open to the public
A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry
HYGIENE
A membership to the YMCA is usually only 10$, which has a shower, and sometimes laundry machines and lockers.
Public libraries have bathrooms you can use
Dollar stores carry low-end soaps and deodorant etc.
Wet wipes are all purpose and a life saver
Local beaches, go for a quick swim
Some truck stops have showers you can pay for
Staying clean is the best way to prevent disease, and potentially get a job to get back on your feet
Pack 7 pairs of socks/undies, 2 outfits, and one hooded rain jacket
OTHER
first aid kit
sunscreen
a travel alarm clock or watch
mylar emergency blanket
a backpack is a must
downgrade your cellphone to a pay as you go with top-up cards
sleeping bag
travel kit of toothbrush, hair brush/comb, mirror
swiss army knife
can opener

If you are homeless due to domestic violence, contact your local dv shelter to see if they have beds available! No just spousal abuse, parental abuse as well. They oftentimes have additional services that help with job hunting and finding permanent housing.
That’s a wrap! Thank you for all the wonderful questions. James Webb Space Telescope Planetary Scientist Dr. Naomi Rowe-Gurney answered questions about the science goals, capabilities, and her hopes for the world's most powerful telescope.

SO EXCITED I have been anxiously awaiting James Webb for years and it was actually the reason I ever made a tumblr way back when! (Still devastated that I deleted it in the worst of my mental health years) I will never get access to these tumblrs again because the emails are long gone, but dear @one-unbelievable-instant & @keplercolonist-blog I am doing better now, I didn’t kill myself, and now this fuckers finally gonna fly I am very excited

Jared, Hayley, Sian, and Chris, blast off to space soon to do some experiments, raise money for Saint Jude's, and set a precedent for humanity in space.
I am thankful that this is different from the Virgin Galactic and Blue Dildo trips. These four individuals put in the work and the training, and it all brings me back to me as a little kid.
When I was growing up, my dad worked night shift and would sleep during the day. Kids nowadays often get baby sat by YouTube. I was baby sat by History Channel back when it was good. NASA documentaries almost every afternoon. All the old footage lives in my head like a perfect theater.
I get to finally check two childhood dreams off my bucket list. The anticipation and excitement of being able to see this launch in person on such a historical site has me speechless other wise. I am merely grateful.
We must save Earth in order to learn how to live ethically amongst other worlds or societies, but Earth is not our limit.
If the rich can do it, and eventually do it sustainably, then when we gain the equal access to the means of production, we will know the safest way and the most sustainable way, to travel amongst the stars.
Good luck to you, Gods' speed, may Hekate protect you all as you cross Terran thresholds I couldn't even begin to imagine.

Regarding my Schizophrenia Paper:
Since the survey has completed, I find myself regretting not asking at least some locational data, such as country. This could have been used to shore up the data provided by the World Health Organization that I referenced in my paper. I would hope to run this survey again, if I do I will add that as a required question. In addition, if I run this survey again, I will not give the "not sure" option for questions 4 and 5. I do still believe the results are very telling of the pessimistic attitude the public has towards recovery possibility when the not sure option in question 4 was basically half of the percentage, leaving yes and no, quartered. But when asked without medication, the people who chose not sure dropped to 34.1% and no jumped to 59.1%, this jump indicates, within this sample, a pessimistic outlook on recovery, as only 6.8% said yes. The uncertain response may have been used as a scapegoat from making a definitive choice, especially if they truly are unsure.
