I’ve barely seen anything on tumblr about the blackout in Washington DC
There’s been radio silence from the city since 1am local time, tweets about it are being deleting and suppressed
[edit to add: there’s now reports coming out that the blackout was fake, I can’t confirm either way, be vigilant]

Not only are people being hacked, the message is literally copy/pasted for every account. It’s so incredibly transparent.
Hey i said this on twitter but i want share this on tumblr too.
If you want to help the protestors in all USA please dont post photos of them showing visible their faces and clothes it can be super dangerous for them. Dont use twitter stickers for blur their bodies or brand clothes twitter save the original photo in their data instead use an outside app and take a screenshot of your edited picture, saving the picture via the app will most likely keep the metadata as well.
I said this alredy but important. If you are going to blur photos of protestors not only blur their faces include hide brands and bodies as well.
i’ve heard it’s not good enough to blur and you should use black boxes instead! or better yet avoid posting pictures/videos at all unless absolutely necessary (like for safety or for exposing a cop)
honestly i complety suggest avoiding post images specifically about protesters because a lot of them are posted without their permission as well and as i said they can be in danger for that. Thanks for the other info too
Just like the other person said if you are going to hide protestors face, clothes and bodies use black boxes because they are more effective that blur! But most important DONT SHARE PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR START UNLESS IS IT COMPLETY NECCESARY!!!!
You should also remove the metadata esp. the geotag
Pls don’t forget to remove the metadata! They can tell what phone model you used and your location when you took the photo. Digital finger printing is a real concern. What just happened on CNN? Im at work and so wasn’t somewhere I could watch
Sure I’ll sum up.
So there was a very good peaceful protest by.... Lafayette Park? Right outside the White House. They were chanting, they had multiple reporters in the crowd, it was fucking CHILL, people were waiting for Trump to do a speech in the Rose Garden.
Then, out of nowhere, truly NOWHERE, the cops closed in from three directions and threw gas into the crowd. They used rubber bullets on the crowd IMMEDIATELY. One dude told the reporter “They don’t care about new, move.” They drove out the totally fucking peaceful, pre-curfew protestors.
They moved them all out, and Trump started speaking, and you could hear the fucking gas going off over his speech. CNN fucking did a splitscreen to show the peopple being shoved back as the motherfucker stood up there and said he would protect our rights and would mobilize the military against people.
Then back to the reporters, and everyone was forced further and further away. One woman on a bike told the reporter “They are getting the water cannons ready, you wanna move.”
TURNS OUT.

WAS BECAUSE TRUMP WANTED A PHOTO OP AT THE CHURCH ACROSS THE STREET. HE WANTED THEM OUT OF THE WAY SO HE COULD STAND WITH A BIBLE IN FRONT OF A CHURCH.
Even CNN is calling him a dictator, at 7PM.
Then the Illinois governor came out and called him a racist, xenophobic, misogynistic failure.
