Again, late night video upload, cause as I said, I don't do much sleeping at night.
Anyway, this evening I decided to sit down and get all of Act III's backgrounds done up, so I don't have to do it later. Here they are, with all the rough animation just put over top of it, so apologies for the light drawings and the placeholder soundtrack, hahah.
Work on clean ups and colour for Act III should start up very shortly.
Status Update 25
My motivation's on fire and I'm not taking as long as a break before moving onto Act III as I thought I would, haha. I've started work on the final backgrounds to get them out of the way this time.
"Windows Someday"
I think today is a good day as any.
So after I finished up Act II last night, I decided to sit down and work a bit on assets for the film's credits. I had sketches put in place for the time being, but I sat down and actually added colour to them last night. Here's a collection of images from the credits.
Another late night update (because I don't sleep at night most of the time) but good news, everybody!
Act II is now finished!
There's some minor little details that need to be cleaned up and the timing one some parts still needs to be double checked, but in terms of final lining, colouring, and background work, Act II is all finished!
I'm gonna take a short break before moving onto Act III, but the big part of the film has been finished. Hopefully all the clean ups and colour should be done shortly, and then I have to worry about the final sound editing.
But yes!

Status Update 24
As of 4:30AM, August 5, 2014, Act II is finally all coloured!
There's still a few backgrounds to do, but as it is very late, I shall wait until tomorrow to do those. Expect an another update video soon though ^^
And then of course, Act III!

Quick update for Act II - we only have 5 shots left to colour!
That's still 174 frames however and I still have a lot of background work to do. And of course, after all that is finished, we have all of Act III still to do.
Soooo yup.

Late night update, but we have been making some major progress!
The other day, when I posted the last update video, all the final lines had been finished and we had about like.... 25 shots to colour. As of right now, there's only 8 left.
And then we can move to Act III!
Yes, there's still a lot of background work I need to do and a few timing things to be fixed and little colour correction things to be done in post, but hey, we are moving along nicely : )

Making some good progress with Act II's colour. Hopefully I'll have it done by next week and then I can move onto Act III.

Status Update 21
Hello everyone!
I am SO sorry this thing like... died back there. Once the school year had ended, I took a much need, very extended break and have just only gotten back to working on the film.
I've been doing work on it for the last month now, but haven't gotten to much done because of some other projects and work I had to do.
BUT!
Act II is now finally final lined! A bunch of it still needs colour, but that's easier compared to all the final lining work. That leaves about 488 frames to final line for Act III but we are getting there!

Oh yeah! I forgot to post this! This was one of my walls at the end of the year show at my school! All the stuff is basically from Chameleon Charm/Caged and it’s… pretty cool : ) Stuff framed and on the wall~
Lookie guys! The character designs plus some screenshots from the film! This was for the student show at my school, which unfortunately just ended a few days ago. Still : ) Pretty cool stuff~
Also, I'm gonna be picking production back up on the film soon, so that can get finished soon!
Status Update 20
Well, it's been two weeks since my last day of class and yesterday was my graduation, so now, I am officially done with college.
However, Caged is still only half finished. A few people who have helped me with color so far have offered to help over the summer and a few friends have offered their help as well. Production on the film is going to continue, as I do plan on finishing the film. It's nearly done anyway, so it would be a shame to give up now!
Anyway, thanks to everyone who's supported the project so far. I hope you continue to support and watch our progress as we work to finish the film and hope you all look forward to the finish project.
