9 HOURS UNTIL CHECK IN

So its 12:30 in the morning and I cannot sleep if my life depended on it... I check into the DCP program in 9 hours! I couldn't be more excited! So today my family and I went and spent the day at Sea World. It was a pretty good day! We also went to downtown Disney tonight where I met the lovely Carrie. Carrie is not my roommate, but she is someone I've become very close to throughout this whole process! I should be sleeping, but obviously my excitement has taken over my body! I am meeting most of my roommates for breakfast at IHOP in the morning, so this is exciting! Tomorrow night I will update you all with how the check in process and casting works out!

3 DAYS

Hey guys! So I am now 3 days away from my check in date! I couldn't be more excited. So tomorrow (today) I will be spending the day packing all of my things into my car! Yay.. Haha Saturday morning I leave for Orlando, which is only a 2.5 hour drive! My uncle and I will be spending the day at the Harry Potter Expo at Universal. On Sunday, my mom, grandma and little brother will join us for a day at Sea World! Sunday night, as long as everything goes to plan, I will be meeting my roommates at Ghirardelli for ice cream in Downtown Disney! Oops... Sorry Disney Springs (will never get used to that name change...) Sunday for dinner 2 of my friends from the "Ride or Die" group will be joining my family and I! And hopefully Monday morning before check in I will be meeting the rest of the 02/01 "Ride or die" group. Not only am I excited to start this journey and meet my roommates, but this will also be the first time the whole RIDE OR DIE GROUP is in the same place at once. I cannot wait to finally meet all these lovely friends I have made over the past 4 months! Don't worry, you'll get all the details of check in day come Monday night!

11 DAYS!

I am officially 11 days away from starting my DCP journey! I am currently trying to decide what to pack … Its not easy at all! They say you won’t wear half the clothes you bring, but how will I know what clothes I need or want?! Maybe I’ll just bring them all….

Well besides packing, I’ve been working on my roommate gifts and planning a lot of stuff! I cannot wait to meet all of my wonderful roommates and other friends!

29 days until DCP

So I am about a month out until I start my program. I haven't even come close to starting to pack even though I probably should! Hopefully I can get everything together in time. I am also preparing my roommate gifts (praying to God they turn out okay!). Heading to Orlando on the 31st! Cant wait to meet all my amazing friends and roommates.

Class and Seminar Registration

Hey guys, so today was the day to start registering for classes! It was pretty rough with DORMS constantly crashing because of 4,000 people trying to get on at once basically.

After a handful of tries I can now say that I am registered for two seminar classes. I will be attending Leadership 101 on Mondays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and Disney Heritage: 1901-1954 on Mondays from 4pm to 6pm.

Roommate Search

I'm not going to sugarcoat this at all.. Roommate searching will literally be the worst part of the whole process so far. In my opinion at least.... I spent time messaging numerous girls literally only to be turned down haha. Oh well. I was considering just going random at this point because a lot of people said it wasn't too bad. But then I got a message from someone looking for one more roommate to join her group of 5.

Little did I know that these girls would already feel like my best friends. I am so blessed to have found such a great group of girls. Erica and I are from here in Florida. She's the one I'm going to share my room with. Hopefully we can meet up sometime in early January, but who knows. My other roommates are total gems. There's Bethany who is from good old Ohio and Bailey, Liliha, and Maddie are all from California!

I'm going to support my roommate here. Maddie has a vlog on YouTube and I totally suggest keeping up with her vlogs! No seriously, do it. Open up a new tab, go to YouTube, and look up Madison.Picotte You won't regret it (:

Well, I'm 76 days away from move in day! I'll be there from 02/01/2016- 08/04/2016 with hopes of extending my program. Check back later for some more updates on the program as we get closer to January!

I was accepted!

So, this is well after I was accepted haha. I was accepted at 4:52pm on October 28th. I was sitting at a table in Taco Bell with my boyfriend and happened to glance down at my phone and noticed I had an email notification. I pulled down the drop bar on my screen, read the headline real quick and started crying. My boyfriend knew exactly what had happened and he was so happy for me. We quickly left Taco Bell and I called my mom.. I think she probably thought I was dying or something by the way I sounded when I called her. (Sorry Mom...) I was just so happy! I looked further into the email and followed the steps so that I could find out my role.

I GOT FULL SERVICE FOOD AND BEVERAGE! This was my top role and I could not have more excited.

Introduction

Hey y'all! My names Caitlyn and I know I'm starting my blog kind of late in the game here. But oh well. I'm going to try and keep everyone updated on everything that's going on with the Disney College Program.

Well for starters, I applied for the program on September 1, 2015. At this point I did not know too much about the program.... About 5 minutes after I had applied, I received an email telling me to complete a web-based interview. I got a little more excited, even not knowing much about the program. I answered all of my questions and submitted it. Shortly thereafter, I received another email (30 minutes later) telling me that I was eligible to move forward to a phone interview. I was given a selection on days and times to choose from. I had picked September 3 at 8pm. Kinda late in the evening, but I felt like I would be more relaxed during the actual interview.

My interviewer called me at 8:13pm that night and my interview lasted 27 minutes. Now let me tell you, this is one of the best 27 minute phone calls I've ever had. My interviewer was fun and friendly. She talked about my current job and any past jobs I have had. We spent a lot of time talking about food service. She asked me a few other questions after that and that was kind of it. Now for the next 2 and a half months, I waited to find out if I was accepted or NLIC’d.
