Hi, guys! Lala here. We all know the importance of having a morning and night routine, but I haven’t seen a lot of people talking about having a study routine. So I wanted to share mine with you and hopefully you guys can get some value out of it.

Dark times all around but there are still people out there who love you

Do not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.

Some more Religious Studies for you guys! I’m really loving this course and how much it’s taught me. I’m back to being motivated which is great, I’m excited to learn finally!

I’ve decided to devote my boredom from quarantine into learning a few new languages! I previously took French courses in high school, so I don’t need the pronunciation for the French words. If there are any native speakers that see anything wrong with my spelling or translations, let me know!

for as much as studyblr may have its faults, it’s a pretty sizable online space that tells young girls that the absolute coolest thing you can do is be smart and work hard and believe in yourself and i think that’s pretty great

I’ve started designing monthly calendars for this year and it’s really nice to get some of my stress out with things other than studying.

This or That pt. 2

This is the second part of my This or That post, inspired by @latetothestudygame!

15. butterflies or honeybees - My grandmother’s favourite animal was a butterfly, and I’m planning on getting a tattoo in memory of her, so I though it fitting to choose the butterfly. Honeybees remind me of a resilient community, one that helps out for the better of the entire hive, so although they scare me a bit, I respect them. 

16. macaroons or eclairs - I remember making eclairs at one of my first jobs and it was my favourite part of the day (it’s the little things). 

17. type or handwrite - I find typing easier when the professor is speaking really quickly and I want to get everything down, but I fond handwriting easier to remember, and let’s me focus on what I’m writing, so I handwrite in my tutorials. 

18. secret garden or secret library - this one is tricky because I would want a secret garden if I were living in a crowded and really busy city, where I could have a small bit of nature to keep me sane. I would want a secret library because I absolutely love reading and I know I would need somewhere to escape from time to time and surround myself with knowledge. 

19. rooftop or balcony - I would rather be on the rooftop than the balcony, I don’t really know why but I like looking out over the building from the highest point. 

20. spicy or mild - I can’t really handle any spice in my meals, but I know that spices give a lot of flavour, so I’m not sure how much I’m missing. 

21.  opera or ballet - I like opera as it gives me chills when I’m listening, but watching ballet is absolutely breathtaking, just the fluidity of the movement is amazing. 

22. London or Paris - I went to Paris on a school history trip and it was an amazing time, I would definitely go back for much longer (3 weeks or something), but I’ve lived in the UK and loved the hustle of London, so I’m not quite sure of my favourite. 

23. Van Gogh or Monet - my Ipad case is actually one of Van Gogh’s paintings, so that decision is already made, I’ll do some research on Monet after this though. 

24. denim or leather - I enjoy denim on me, as I have multiple pairs of mum jeans from thrifting, but I really like the look of leather (jackets, skirts, etc) on other people. 

25. potions or spells - I finished reading the Harry Potter series a little while ago and had a bit of an existential crisis when I finished the last book, spells all the way. 

26. ocean or desert - I’ve always loved the ocean, the smell of it always brings back home memories, I might move somewhere close to the ocean once I’m finished my undergrad. 

27. mermaids or sirens - I’m not sure why, but sirens give me a very mischievous feeling, and I always love adventure, so sirens it is. 

28. masquerade or cocktail event - I like the secrecy of a masquerade event, it gives a bit more excitement than other events and I like that.

This or That

I wanted to jump on @latetothestudygame‘s idea and post my own form of ‘this or that’, with a little explanation of each choice!

1. coffee or tea - I’ve never been able to drink coffee, and being British means i was introduced to tea drinking at an early age.

2. early bird or night owl - I have always been early to bed, early to rise. It’s really hard for me to actually stay up later!

3. chocolate or vanilla - I enjoy eating chocolate when it’s in bars and on candy, but chocolate flavoured cakes and stuff I don’t usually enjoy 

4. spring or autumn - one of the biggest difference between England and Canada is that the fall is so vibrant and full of colours! I adore the colours as the leaves change. I do enjoy the sounds of spring though, the birds and all the animals waking up, it’s really nice to just sit and listen.

5. silver or gold - I like silver as it’s what I can wear and look nice in (I’m allergic to gold), but I love the way gold looks on others (especially those with darker skin tones, it looks amazing)

6. pop or alternative - I like pop, but sometimes I get tired of all the romance in it, when I’m in a bad mood or sad I turn to alternative.

7. freckles or dimples - this one I don’t have a preference, but it depends on where the freckles and dimples are. I like freckles on my face, but I also like dimples at the base of the spine, and where the arms meet the shoulders when raising the arms above the head. 

8. snakes or sharks - I am an avid animal lover, so I couldn’t decide, and I enjoy playing around with my brother’s snake Pendragon. I have wanted to swim with sharks or cage dive at some point in my life though. 

9. mountains or fields - when it comes to mountains, the view is unparalleled, and the trek up the mountain is half the fun anyway. When it comes to fields though, the feeling of being in a wide open field when camping is amazing too. 

10. thunder or lightning - I have always sat with my parents and watched the lightning of a storm, and I’ve come to love storms for that reason. I also love the feeling of thunder though too, especially when it’s a big clap of thunder that you can literally feel it. 

11. Egyptian mythology or Greek mythology - I’ve actually never learned about Egyptian mythology, but I’ve gone over Greek mythology way to much to still find it enjoyable. 

12. ivory or scarlet - all forms of red I love, but when I was thinking of what I would choose, I just started imagining victorian dresses and formal wear, in scarlet, and found that so pretty. Ivory I think of the colour of piano keys and see an old french cottage with a piano in the main room. 

13. flute or lyre - I actually have no idea what a lyre is, but I enjoyed playing the flute in my middle school music class

14. opal or diamond - I see an opal of being more gentle and unassuming. As soon as I see a diamond I think of what it represents in the world, with diamond rings and jewellery, it seems a bit too common now, so I went with opal. 

There are 28 questions so I’ll post this and then do the other 14 in the next post!

Writing out my notes for my Religious Studies class before term starts on Monday!

I’m excited to start something I’m actually interested in, biology kicked the motivation right out of me.

I have felt so unmotivated lately, so I decided to put up a letter board with what I want my diploma to say once I’m finished my undergraduate education. It seems to be working so far. I also put a picture I bought while I was in Paris to remind myself of my dreams to travel more once I’m finished school.

Good old biology review for my upcoming exam, I can’t wait for term to be over.
