I’m always looking for new ways to enjoy cake. So when I saw this Chocolate Blood Orange Loaf Cake recipe on Brooklyn Supper; I had to try it. I love that I got some great antioxidants and cut the sugar, by using beets. In addition to using blood orange juice in the frosting; I added zest to the cake and squeezed fresh juice into the cake while it was still hot. It adds a wonderful freshness. In addition to Easter, today is also #NationalRamenDay. I have a daughter who happens to love Ramen. But I have a really hard time reconciling the salt and chemicals that goes into a store bought Ramen. So I asked a few of my friends and came up with a spice blend that is a copycat for the popular Ramen brands. I got these noodles at my local grocery store but I will linkin.bio a link to order on Amazon. They cook up so fast. Once you have the noodles and spices, you can customize the rest. It’s a fun night to put out a “ramen bar”. Let your family and guests design their own bowls. Be sure to put out lots of veggies, herbs and proteins. I have never made Hamentaschen, from scratch, before! I decided that this was the year to start. #FearlessFriday • • • In the past I have made them from grocery store pie dough and even frozen puff pastry dough. • • • I followed @leah.Koenig recipe from The Jewish Cookbook.
