𫧠silly sketches from the book
one of my teachers got me this very cool, absolutely huge book. if anyone wants me to look for anything specific this literally covers everything you could ever think of.
Something about Dumbledore being so hard on Snape
Dumbledore being scornful of Snape even when Snape was on his knees
Dumbledore emphasising that Snape made a mistake and must pay for it
Dumbledore who kept reminding Snape of his mistake even when he was grieving Lily
Dumbledore who didn't just let Snape change sides, he needed Snape to change his heart
Dumbledore who made the same mistakes as Snape and has been living in guilt ever since
Dumbledore who realised Snape was following in his footsteps
Dumbledore who may have started out thinking of Snape as cowardly or selfish but soon grew to trust him
Dumbledore who gave Snape half truths because if worst came to worst then Voldemort would have all the information right on his arm
Dumbledore who trusted Snape enough to not lie to him about the fact that he wasn't telling him everything even though he knew Snape resented it
Dumbledore who trusted Snape so much he knew that even if Snape resented him he would not betray him
Dumbledore who left everything he worked for in Snape's hands knowing it would be safe
Dumbledore who asked Snape to be the one to kill him, not just to save Draco's soul but for his own aake
Dumbledore who chose to die but only at the hands of someone he had grown to love
Dumbledore who once saw Snape as a desperate selfish boy that disgusted him
Dumbledore who made Snape his heir
Dumbledore who made Snape his.

MHA CHAPTER 430 LEAKS. aizawa cut his hair. tears were shed.
Vulnera Sanentur
In the film, "Vulnera Sanentur" is the Sectumsempra counterspell and healing enchantment created by Severus Snape. It has to be sung, not said
In the book, it is described that Snape's healing spell is a soothing whisper, like a lullaby
Severus is a beautiful man
Hearts for dear Professor!
Happy belated birthday to the Half Blood Prince!
Newer fans of Harry Potter who hate snape are like
âHeâs blood supremacist and racist AND sexist and just a bully and a terrible personâ
And then be like
âStan Jamesâ âI love Regulus and heâs the best most helpful character.
We never actually see James grow from being a bully, we just see that snape lost contact with him in adulthood.
We know absolutely nothing about Regulus except heâs Siriusâs brother, he betrayed Voldemort AND HE ACTUALLY MADE IT HARDER FOR HARRY TO FIND THE HORCRUX
Also the fact that Snapeâs backstory is often given to regulus for depth.
Snape had the illusion of choice. Snape haters arenât ready to face the fact that Regulus could have gone to Sirius for help if he didnât want to join the Death Eaters. Sirius BEGGED Regulus to join him. Lilyâs family would not have taken Snape long term.
fuck you *ponifies Snape*
in all seriousness though, this was really fun to do. I know he has a "canon" design (see Professor Flintheart MLP) but my Severus design doesn't with that lol so
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was my entire childhood and the reason I got into writing and drawing and everything and it feels so good to be doing full pony pieces after so long. Expect more.
I forgot how genuinely upset Snape was when he heard a student had been taken into the chamber of secrets to be killed. Itâs interesting how he can be so spiteful sometimes but also has these little heartfelt more redeeming moments too
Is Snape nice? No. Is he an absolute comedy icon with a flair for dramatic timing? Yes! I mean he literally stood there waiting and being insulted multiple times just to reveal himself at the perfect moment. We stan.
rip to one of the greatest humans to ever live, itâs been 8 years </333 forever love you and everything youâve done
Alan Rickman, David Thewlis, Gary Oldman and all those are iconic in their roles in Harry Potter, but Iâll always be a bit sad about that casting, because having that âMarauders eraâ cast be age appropriate wouldâve just been so much better for the story.
Sirius wasnât this old man who spent 12 years in Azkaban, no he got locked up at 21. He spent almost third of his life in a cell. He wasnât this wise father figure to Harry, he was a reckless thirty-something who never really got the chance to mature past 21.
Remus was an exhausted, bone deep tired man carrying both physical and mental scars from the suffering he went through. Because heâs a werewolf, because of the war, because he lost all of his friends. And heâs only 33 when first introduced.
And Snape. Snape wasnât an old bitter man who just hated everyone and enjoyed being antagonistic. He was 31 in Harryâs first year. He began to work for Voldemort as a teen, and as a double agent at 20. Heâs a thirty-something bitter man, who never got to really live or make real connections. From Harryâs perspective heâs scary and intimidating, but really heâs just kindaâŠsad and pathetic. And then especially that scene where Snape is begging Dumbledore to help save Lily, and promising anything in return. (Because apparently Dumbledore needs something in returnâŠfor saving people.) Heâs twenty. Barely out of his teens. Rickman was good in that scene, but having someone who actually looks twenty, would better show how scared, young, guilty and just desperate he was. That might not put Dumbledore in such a good light, though.
And then, the characters I think wouldâve been the most important to cast age appropriately. And most people probably already agree and know who Iâm talking about. James and Lily. They were 21 when they died. When Harry sees them in the mirror of Erised, theyâre 10 years older than him. Thatâs the age difference Ron has with Bill. In that scene I might understand somewhat them being in their thirties, because thatâs what Harry wants. He wants his life with his parents, he wants to have been raised by them. Though, I donât know if the mirror could know what they mightâve looked like in their thirties, since they didnât live that long. But then, in the cemetery when Voldemortâs wand spits the last spells cast, we see Lily and James as they were. 21. Theyâre telling their son to hold on just a moment longer. And they are 7 years older than him. In Deathly Hallows, Harry sees Voldemort kill them. Theyâre not this happy couple whoâs got to love each other for a long time, only to have that happiness torn from them, no they started at Hogwarts ten years ago. Theyâre 21, and theyâve barely tasted that happiness. At the end of the book Harry talks to his parents. They comfort him and promise to stay with him, as he goes to die. Harryâs seventeen. James and Lily are four years older than him.
It wouldnât have felt as nice. Harry being comforted by someone who looks almost his age. But it wasnât nice. It was pretty tragic. Casting people who look 21, wouldâve really made it land on the audience. It was a tragedy. They were barely adults.
