Kasnas Orechop was the very first Pathfinder I made with my late husbandâs help. So, I thought it appropriate that I express my grief through her.
Kasnas met Brunks in Korvosa and befriended him through a game of darts in a tavern. She had a common enemy with Brunsk and together they confronted the man responsible for their miseries. Over the years, their friendship blossomed to a clumsy romance.Â
Brunsk, being an Ulfen, struggled with the common language but he was clever enough to pick up on context most of the time. Kasnas and Brunsk just got each other regardless. They just simply agreed that they could not imagine each otherâs lives without the other, so Kasnas agreed to follow Brunsk back to the land of the Lonnorne Kings. Along the way, Brunsk proposed marriage to Kasnas officially, armband and all. Kasnas was overjoyed but attempted to keep her cool. Oh who are we kidding, sheâs a dwarf, she is genetically incapable of chill. Happily, they made their way to the far north, where Kasnas had some major adjustments to make. Being from the far south, Kasnas struggled with the concept of cold for a while.Â
A couple of years later, it was established that Brunsk was to assume a high-class estate as a Lord, then a King. Kasnas, who grew up poor and a pickpocket, again had to adapt to a somewhat softer lifestyle while still learning the local language. But she was happy. Soon, she became pregnant with their firstborn Kevran. She was proud of how clever her boy was. She had her fatherâs build and her wit it seemed. When Kevran was ten years old, Kasnas became pregnant again with her daughter Breya. Â
Kevran grew up to be an adventurer, Breya grew up to be a pirate High Seas Merchant. Kasnas could not be more content in her life. She had a doting and loving husband, a successful family... Then something awful happened. Brunsk, Kevran and Breya all fell and now her family is lost. She is in a land that was not originally her own and she must figure out how to march forward. For now... she mourns.Â
