but the thing is that danny only keeps cooing at the teensy hamster on this guys shoulder. the one that had initially drawn him to the literal stranger on the street (key word: strange. KEY WORD: STRANGE) had fumbled its way away into the massive fucking scarf wrapped around the guys neck that, had the hamster not done the trick, probably would’ve held danny like a magnet anyway, never mind the fact it’s a rodent hotel. he smiles at the (hamster? no-dark deva of destruction was it? danny’s not sure, he had found himself a little distracted up until this point. it’s unimportant) cute little guy that he has his nose close enough to for it to bite it off.   ‘ they’re so cute! do they have separate cages? do you build them assault courses? ’ 

“hmph... yes, i suppose in their current incarnations, they are quite ‘cute’,”   he relinquishes, stiffening as the stranger edges closer.  discomfort rises in his chest. gundham swallows it down and takes a long stride back, creating a comfortable distance between them. how normal this boy seemed, besides the abnormal interest in san-d who sat perched on his shoulder. with a feigned air of smugness, he smiles to himself and folds his arms across his chest before announcing, “however! in spite of their god-like power, the devas’ needs are akin to the needs of... pet hamsters.  when they must be caged, i ensure that they have adequate space to roam safely.”
