the scent of death carries from the city…
greetings and welcome! i think it’s time i introduced myself. my name is Julian, but you can call me Jay. i’m an adult, and i use any pronouns, but usually utilize they/them or he/him. i’m usually on my other blog, @bones-of-calamity, drawing dinosaurs and other stupid stuff (paleontology is my everything), but Survivors has had me in a death grip for at least 7 or so years at this point, so i decided i’m going to put my canine drawing skills out there and draw all the characters. i am extremely inconsistent, so please bear with me, i’m doing my best!
so, with my take on Survivors, it’s a liiittle different than in canon. basically, my thought is that the reason most humans haven’t come back is due to radioactive fallout. it puts a bit of a twist on survival, and it explains a few plot holes. and if you want a good representation of what the setting is like, i’m thinking Northern California, but a lot of scenery in my head looks like the map from FarCry 5. an earthquake strikes, which causes an accident at a nearby nuclear power plant to happen. Survivors takes place in the following Exclusion Zone, with the occasional human in special gear passing through, but they are scarce.
if i have something about a character i change, i’ll mention it! i have some special ideas for some particular characters, so yeah! i also love horror and concepts of apocalypse and abandoned cities, so i may go in on more horror aspects, but i’ll give you warnings if i do. and if i don’t, please tell me!! also i may do some shitposts because they’re funny. why not?
