Cody wanted to stop him from getting more drinks, but who was he to stop Caleb. Caleb was a grown ass man. He smiled at him and squeezed him close. “I like being in your life, Cay,” he admitted.
Quickly taking his drink, his hand shook as he brought it to his mouth. Quickly downing half of it, he places the cup back onto the counter, “I-I’m sorry Cody. You..you deserve s-so much better than..than me..”

Cody smiled and pulled him against him a bit, being a little more forward than he usually was. “You’re always welcome, Caleb. Always.” He rubbed at the other man’s arm. He knew that this could turn sexual at any moment, and while it wasn’t something he persay needed, at this point he wouldn’t say no.
Caleb didn’t pull away when Cody pulled him close, “I just don’t want you to think that I’m..I don’t know..” Shaking his head, he finally pulls away, even though he really didn’t want to, “So please tell me if I ever feel..clingy, I guess?” Calling the bartender over, he orders another drink, just hoping that he won’t remember this conversation happened, “I like..having you in..my life..”

Cody tilted his head to the side and let out a light laugh. “Are you invitin’ yourself over Caleb?” He asked, still chuckling gently. He wouldn’t mind spending another night with Caleb.
Caleb quickly shakes his head, “N-No..I’m not. I was just..I wanted..” Looking down at the bar, he runs his finger over a water ring that appeared from one of the glasses, “I wasn’t..”

Cody watched him for a few moments. “You will,” he said with a nod, words only slightly slurred. “The more you think about it the more normal it’ll become.” Cody made sure that the other man didn’t lose his balance when searching for his wallet. “I saw you put it in there earlier,” he explained. He honestly hadn’t been staring at Caleb’s ass. “I… planned on it. I’m’not sure where… else I would go.”
Nodding, there was a part of Caleb that looked disappointed. As much as he didn’t want Cody to know where he lived, he at least hoped that maybe he could have gone back to Cody’s place with him, “I..I don’t want..this to end..” And truer words had never been spoken. Sure he knew that he would see Cody again soon, he just wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet. “But..o-okay I-I’ll bring you back..”

By that point, Cody knew that Caleb was drunk. He could hear it in his voice and he assumed that his words were the alcohol talking. While some people spoke from the heart when intoxicated, Cody wasn’t quite sure. Reaching out, he steadied Caleb on the bar stool. “That’s what friends do, Cay,” he said softly. “And check your… back right pocket.” Cody, while having a total of four drinks, felt rather coherent. He was a bit surprised, having never held his alcohol well before (granted the pain pills didn’t help matters).
“Friends? Yeah I’ll..never get used..to that..” At Cody’s suggestion, Caleb did just that, having to get to his feet though, he clung tightly onto the bar before reaching into his back pocket, “Ahh. You’re so smart.” Going through it, he took out his credit card for the tab, and some cash for tip, “How did you know where it was? Were you staring at my ass?” With a chuckle, he manages to put his wallet away, “Are you..you’re going to go home r-right?”

Cody ate his chicken tenders, almost oblivious to Caleb’s staring. After a few moments, he could almost feel Caleb’s eyes on him as he ate. Cody swallowed and glanced over at him, eye contact skittering. “It’s no problem,” he replied. Only it was. Places like this often made Cody feel highly uncomfortable and even more out of place in the world. “Honestly… I don’t mind.”
“It is a p-problem. You didn’t..have to come out here just..for me you know. But..but you did. You gave me s-someone to sit next to. You gave m-me something amazing..to l-look at. You..” Sighing, he takes a sip then decides to look for his wallet to pay the tab, however, he couldn’t remember which pocket it was in. But he had it, he knew that he did. “Goddamn..pockets..”
Kinkiest escapade?
“I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.”

Cody wanted to have a good time. He went between having a good time and feeling out of place and awkward. Still, he stayed so that he could spend time with Caleb. Besides, he couldn’t leave now; not with the state that Caleb was in. “Okay…” he said with a nod. He noticed the hand on his back and wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. Maybe drunk Caleb was just overly touchy.
Caleb was almost done with his food and he couldn’t help but to smile over at Cody. He didn’t say anything, he just looked at him, taking in every feature..something he didn’t get to do that often. Shaking his thoughts from his head, he ordered another drink, planning on taking this one slow since it was going to be the last one that he ordered, “I don’t know if..I said it yet but..thank you..for coming here and not..yeah..”

Cody consciously tried to slow down his drinking, not wanting to black out again. The last thing he wanted was to relive the night of his twenty-first birthday. The food arrived quickly and he looked down at it, chuckling. “It is..” he mused, dipping his chicken tenders in barbecue sauce.
Caleb wanted Cody to have a good time, but he also didn’t want him to feel like he had to keep up with the amount of drinks he was having, “F-Feel free to stop..whenever you want to okay?” As he spoke, he didn’t notice the hand he had placed onto Cody’s back, “You can get a water or a soda at any time.”

Cody shook his head and looked down, obviously blushing and not sure what to say to that. “It probably is on, but there’s so many people in here…”. Cody felt awkward.
Caleb shrugs, “Still..it’s hot in here.” Soon after, their food arrived and he quickly realized just how hungry he was, “I hope you like it, but then again..it’s hard to mess up chicken.”

Cody shifted a bit and let out an awkward laugh. “I’m not blind. I can see perfectly fine.” His words were a bit slurred as he ordered another Jack Daniels and Coke. “You’re so cute…”
“Do not get into this argument with me..you’ll lose horribly.” Sure Caleb was now blushing at this point, but he wasn’t going to let Cody see that, even though it wasn’t that easy to hide. Alcohol..he could blame it on the alcohol, “They should turn on the air conditioning, drinking causes your body temperature to rise..”

Cody knew Caleb was drunk and that was why he was flirting so heavily. He looked down and blushed a bit. “Chicken tenders…” He nodded. “With barbecue sauce.” He smiled and held his hand. “I’m not that… Attractive.”
Caleb practically choked as he sipped his water, he shakes his head with a mumble, “Yeah and birds don’t fly south for the winter..” Putting his water down, he picks up his shot and drinks it, “You’re blind..”

“I’m having a really good time,” he smiled as he sat down next to him and leaned against him a bit. “I like good food.”. He was fairly drunk at that point, but not enough to be sloppy. “I like this.”
“I’m glad. You deserve only the best.” It didn’t take long for Caleb to decide what he wanted to eat, “Can I..the buffalo wings..extra um..fries? Yeah fries are good..” Turning to Cody, he chuckles, “And for you handsome..”

Cody nodded and wrapped an arm around him as well. “I could eat. Food might be a good idea. Get something in your stomach so you don’t get sick…”
“Well I want you to eat something too. I don’t want you getting sick either. I just want you to be happy and to have a good time..with me.” Plopping himself back down on the stool, he waves the bartender over yet again and asks for a couple of menus.

Cody nodded and made sure he wasn’t too far away from Caleb in case he fell. “Are you sure you’re okay?” He whispered.
“I will be..” Finishing his..business, Caleb washed his hands and returned to Cody, wrapping a arm around his waist, “Are you..hungry? They have food here too. Amazing food actually..I could eat now that I think of it..”

Cody immediately caught him. “I’ll walk you over there…” He murmured. He could feel the alcohol affecting me. “Please don’t apologize to me.”
He held onto Cody and shook his head, “But I do..more than you know.” Slowly, they made their way towards the bathroom, and Caleb all but stumbled inside and over to the urinal, “I got this part..” He says with a laugh.

This was why Cody didn’t like dealing with drunk people. He shrank away ever so slightly as Caleb took the glass back. He didn’t stop him. “I’ll save your spot.”
Caleb slowly gets up and almost instantly stumbles, falling against Cody, “S-Sorry. I’m good..” And he was, for the most part. He could still comprehend things, he wasn’t drunk..but he was far from sober, “I’m sorry.”
