White for the purity of a holy death. White for a clean slate. White to reflect His light in the darkest places. You are Deathwing.

The inevitable terminators! I went for a much whiter shade of bone white for these guys than is typical and I'm very pleased with the results. Respect to the overworked studio painters of GW, but I have long thought that their Deathwing usually end up looking too much like cheddar cheese :/ And the problem with cheddar is it's a friendly sort of white! These are not friendly.

The individual heraldries that they have on their right pauldrons are very loosely inspired by designs from 1993's Space Hulk, a game I played and watched a bit when I was visiting a family friend whose kids were a bit older than me and were allowed to play scary games with scary blood and gore. I'm pretty sure they owned the first 40k minis that I ever saw! So it's all their fault.

PS this particular combination of red things on a white and green background makes me feel inexplicably patriotic!
