There are two sides to every story, so you could have found out what you did or didn’t do to drive him to do that.
Is it crack?????? You can’t make people cheat. They take it upon themselves to do that.
cheaters have no rights
That was your boyfriend?
If you’re the kind of person who spends the first ten minutes of the Lyft ride to the airport worrying that you accidentally left the oven on—even if you didn’t even use the oven that day—you can quell your anxious brain with a quick smartphone precaution.
…before leaving the house, take a photo of your stove and oven dials—or your thermostat, or your iron, or anything else you worry about accidentally leaving on. If your brain starts to play the “Did I really turn it off” game, you can simply tap your photo app and see for yourself
Reblogging to save a life
this is a good strategy
I can imagine this being incredibly helpful for some people with OCD, as well as folks like me with anxiety disorders combined with ADHD (so lack of executive function which leads to frequently forgetting things which leads to legitimizing the fears from the anxiety since a lot of the time I DID forget The Thing…)
Would it be asking too much to invite a friend over to take pictures of me taking pictures of the stove dial etc just to be sure I actually took pictures of everything. And ...

He’s note even taking notes.
So, there’s a lot of discourse about whether people should donate to Notre Dame fundraisers or not.
Personally, I would never tell anyone what to, or not to, give money to, but I wanted to put out some facts which might help people make their decision.
The biggest one is The Catholic Church does not own Notre Dame.
You heard that right.
Notre Dame does not, in any way, legally “belong” to the church. Like many French medieval churches, Notre Dame belongs to the people of France. Who graciously permit the Catholic church to use it as a place of worship.
The financial responsibility for repairing and restoring the church thus falls to the government of France. Not the church. The state. The building was not insured, which is fairly common for government-owned buildings. The Federal government tends to self-insure a lot too. Also, no insurer will cover it.
The construction companies working on the restoration may be found responsible, but their liability insurance will be a drop in the water.
So.
If not enough money is donated, then the balance of the cost will come out of the French treasury.
The tl;dr - the people actually on hook for repairing Notre Dame, ultimately, are the French taxpayers. If you donate to help repair Notre Dame, you’re really donating to arts and culture and history funding in France in general.
Make your decision based off of that. The fact is, the church will be rebuilt regardless of how much money comes in in donations, but other parts of the French arts budget may suffer as a result.
Choose based off of your personal priorities. And don’t let anyone on the internet guilt trip you one way or the other.
However if you do decide to donate, please, please send your money to the Friends of Notre Dame. This is the organization that pays for most of Notre Dame’s repair budget. They are registered as a 501c3 in the United States.
Do not donate to random GoFundMes. Some of them will be scams.
If you would rather donate to the black congregations in Louisiana, who admittedly probably do need the money more, this GoFundMe appears to be legitimate and is hosted by a religious non-profit. They’re about 60% from their goal.
Someone introduce the French to the concept of insurance.
Notre Dame is uninsurable. There is no way to put a solid monetary value on the building and contents, and the premiums would have been prohibitive even for a government. Most historically significant buildings cannot be insured.
They’re no uninsurable- the French government is self insured. They take the loss. Like our government does with its own buildings.
