Sooooooo I had this dumb idea that Compound V doesn't wear off in a matter of seconds. It sticks around for at least a day. Which means Homelander's caved-in skull has enough time to regenerate… just not all the way. So, uh. Accidental lobotomy :D

Then I saw Shugister Art on Twitter draw pretty much the same idea, except they went with amnesia and a coffee shop AU. It was so ridiculously sweet that I immediately wanted to draw wholesome butchlander too. Couldn't resist
