Hey guys, my friend Manny-mun is telling the truth. What happened to her in the shipyard has hurt her for a very long time, and she finally gathered the courage to come forward and speak about it. I know it is true because I've seen how hurt she's been from it. Also, Mao never asked her to stop following. I don't want to stir up more drama, but my friend is hurting, and I just want the lies/rumors about her to stop so she can enjoy the shipyard like she used to. Please, guys? Can you listen to her side of the story?

A small collection of jars of fine Snowberry jam, adorned with a silky ribbon, has been left upon Calinwe's doorstep. There's no note to accompany the gift, but if one looks out of the window quickly enough, it's hard to miss the shambling waddle of a particular little mer in the near distance...

Calinwe slowly rose from her chair at the faint sound of a knock upon the door. The pain from her recent childbirth still throbbed upon standing, and she took a quick glance at the sleeping twins in their cradle to ensure the noise did not wake them. As she reached the door, she could see a very pregnant snow elf, quickly waddling away farther down the road.

Mirthys.

Calinwe wondered what had become of her midwife, and the sight before her explained it all. She obviously had taken a break from her work as a midwife due to her own pregnancy. For an all but extinct race, such as the snow elfs, Mirthys' pregnancy was truly wonderful news. Calinwe greatly wished to race after her, to talk, to introduce her to the twins, and congratulate her on her pregnancy... however the healing wounds of childbirth would not permit her to run. Instead, she simply picked up the lovely gift on her doorstep, and hoped that she would have another opportunity to speak with Mirthys in the future.

"Ah... snowberry jam," she smiled, "Thank you."

"What?" Calinwe gasped in disbelief, "He's.. gone?" 

She took a seat, almost falling off of the side of the bench, and began to weep, "Are you certain? Did you see it happen? Perhaps he is still alive and requires healing?"

She had never seen the stranger before, and a part of her wondered if this was merely a trap to convince her to take the risk of going to Castle Volkihar.

"right. watch where you are going next time." he grumbled pulling his hood closer to hide his face. his atronach on the other hand had been more interested in ignoring him, lazily floating in circles.

Calinwe’s gaze drifted to the atronach. Some day, perhaps, she would take the time to learn how to conjure one. It would certainly be useful to protect her from any sudden danger.

"What brings you out here?" she asked. They were off of the main road, and there was little of interest in this area.

"trying to avoid people. seems to not be the case." he huffed pulling his robes closer to fight off the chill of skyrim’s weather.

"Ah, forgive me for intruding then," responded the alchemist. As she turned to leave the mage to his solitude, a pack of wolves suddenly descended from the rocky hills to the left. Calinwe instinctively gulped down a defensive potion and unsheathed her dagger.
