Asking, because to me, it seemed like it could have gone either way. Kris throughout the day in the weird route genuinely seemed out of it, as if they were finally mentally exhausted and detached enough to consider something like that.

Noelle even says "you can't even say stop like you used to", and the player can only back out if they wait long enough during the drowning.

Okay I think if Noelle were to try and pull them into the lake on the normal route, they would not want that. But by this point in the weird route? Death must seem like a solid way to get out of the soul's grasp. They hate this, they hate everything about this, they want out.
