( JACOB ELORDI, CIS MALE, HE/HIM) CALLAN WALKER the THIRTY year old lives in ROOM 401 on FLOOR 4. It is said that they have been here at Ellswick Tower for FOUR YEARS. The OWNER OF NO LIMITS is said to be CHARMING and MANIPULATIVE which makes sense when you think about how they were a BEST FRIEND to Devon Carrington, who was just found dead.{ GEE, 28, GMT, SHE/HER. }
Heterosexual
Popular in school because he was confident. He is a cheeky guy, a flirt who enjoys a good chase but only to a certain extent.
His mum was a hairdresser and stayed home to raise the kids while his dad went out and worked long days and often left for long periods at a time on business trips.
As Callan got older he also started to notice the arguments his mum and dad often had and over heard one time that they were fighting about his dad cheating again. Turns out he often cheated when away on business and only this time it came back to bite him in the ass when one of them wound up pregnant.
He has one older brother and one younger half sister from from the affair.
Never really been good at relationships, he doesn’t know how to settle down. He’s tried a few but they eventually broke up after a few months.
Had his first ‘real’ relationship at 23 and they lasted a year and he hasn’t really pursued anyone since.
Got a job at No Limits quite early on, became close friends with the owner who decided they were moving states and left the business to him.
THERE'S AN UNDERSTANDABLE HEAVINESS in the air -- outside of the obvious that it was a funeral. she had spent most of this day in a state of disbelief, feeling like she's outside of her own body. it was cerys' constant, gentle presence, frankly, that keeps june grounded to this world. kept her from stewing in her own anger. how could this have happened? devon didn't deserve this, in any universe. " tell me about it. " june nods, not expecting to have company when she stepped outside to get some fresh air. " thought we had a couple more decades before somethin' like this. "
Callan exhales slowly, like he’s been holding it in all day and only just realised it. He doesn’t look at her right away, just stares out at nothing in particular, jaw tight, hands buried deep in his coat pockets. “Yeah,” he mutters, “Feels like someone skipped a few chapters, doesn’t it?” He exhales once again, “Devon was… was the kind of person you build your future around without even thinking about it. Just… there. Solid. Like it was a given.” His gaze drifts again, eyes blinking a few times in an attempt at holding back the tears. “And now everyone’s standing around acting like we’re supposed to know how to carry on without that.”
cerys couldn't sleep the night before his funeral, she even asked for a day off for this. it was a hard pill to swallow. months ago they were starting to get along well and that was about to turn into something, then one day he was gone in a snap. she walks in the room, seeing how much people close to devon have attended, and she finds herself standing beside callan. "i'm still...processing it all. it doesn't feel real." she says in a hushed voice, only for the man to hear, while she watches people trying to see him for the last time. "how have you been...coping with all this?"
"I think.. I think I've been in denial." He paused for a moment as he collected his thoughts, a sore lump feeling developing in his throat that he attempted to clear. "And this is like, I don't know, a reality check I suppose?" Callan lightly shook his head, his eyes slowly looking at the people in the room who were here to mourn his best friend. "I should be mourning him you know? All I can think about though is that it could be somebody in this room.. anybody here could have.. could have killed him?"
"um, do you want to talk?" savannah spoke softly to callan. she couldn't imagine how hard today was going for him, having had such a close, personal connection with devon. the girl was going to force him to speak if he wanted to, simply offering her presence if he wished to be around her. "or we can go somewhere more quieter?"
Callan stayed put, he felt numb and as though he wasn't in control of his own body right now. Is this how outer body experiences felt? instead of answering her question properly the words just started pouring out and he couldnt stop. "We were literally just talking and planning a games night together. How do I go from planning a night in, drinking with my buddy and playing Call of Duty to attending his funeral? It makes no sense."
Callan was the type to always put on a brave face, hide his emotions and be the clown to make others laugh but today was not one of those days. He'd love to keep pretending this wasn't effecting him but the funeral broke him. It meant that the recent events were real and there was no pretending anymore. Devon was gone. His best friend just gone like he was nothing. "This shit sucks."
She couldn't help but watch him as he looked around confused, her head tilting slightly as if she was questioning her own self about requesting his company out of anyone else that lived at the apartments. "Don't make me say it again." She let out a heavy and loud sigh, putting her hand up to adjust the sunglasses that sat on top of her red hair. "Just sit down, Callan." The words coming out a little bit colder than she had meant them to, because even know he wasn't on the top of her list of people she wanted to be around, she needed someone and he had been someone to her before. "Please."
"Alright, sweet cheeks." He agreed as he flopped down on the lounger and made himself comfortable. It felt like a once in a life time opportunity that he'd never get again so he wasn't going to push his luck on this. "Just because you asked so nicely and said please" he joked with one of his favourite exes. It felt slightly awkward for him and it wasn't just because of how they ended, he just didn't know how to comfort people especially when he was barely holding it together himself. "So.." he trailed off for a moment, "does this mean we're back together?"
it took a second for her brain to kick off auto-serve and into an actual conversation once she saw callan come into the lobby. she hummed lowly as she glanced behind her at the clock. damn, it had been way longer than 45 minutes that she'd been staring off into space. "shit man," she breathed out, "like ten minutes, i just gotta," alex let out a whistle as she span the keys around her index finger to signal 'lock up' and fell forward in the chair. "um, i'll have you know what i do here is vitally important to the prosperity and," she yawns mid-sentence, "probably the most important job in the town, my guy." alex retorted, deadpan, as always.
Cal pulled his face before letting out a breathy laugh. "Most important?" His thick brow raised in her direction as though to tell her to be for real. "I think the toilet cleaners are way more important than.. whatever you call your role here or maybe the people who hand out tickets at the movie theatre or you know.. any job that isn't this one?" He loved her boldness though. "One day we should actually test whether or not somebody would notice if you left early. I'd like to see the outcome."
With the new year already here it was about time for Mickey to get back to work she was in the back of the club doing inventory to make sure everything is in order once she sees that and starts writing it all down then heads out to the front of the club looks around with a smile on her face and walks up to her office and sits down in the chair. "It's good to see that things are in order for this week." Mickey said to herself.
"Where do I go to book myself some huge tits for the night?" Callan walked into the building and made sure his presence was known with his announcement. A smile on his face from ear to ear. "Two with bigs tits and one with a nice ass too please. I want to leave here with my tank empty if you know what I mean."
like most days, alex wasn't exactly fully there whilst she sat - or more accurately, slumped - behind the front desk of the job she had once said would be a couple-month gig to get some money to pay off her debts and get her life on track. that was... what? five years ago now? six? time flies when you're having fun. she wasn't complaining though, it was an easy job, not exactly well paid, but it kept the shitty roof above her head and almost covered the bills. and, most importantly, nobody gave the slightest shit if she was hungover, high, coming down, late, early, blah blah blah.
the ding of the bell above the door as it swung open brought her semi out of her daydreaming, which was more like just staring into the void and thinking about as little as humanly possible. "welcome to putt stop where every hole is a hole-in-fun," she said dryly without looking away from the spot in the wall that had captivated her last 45 minutes. "what can i do ya for?" she asked, finally glancing to her new company.
Callan raised his brow at Alex, it was clear to him she was just going through the script she had in her head with every customer. "When do you get off?" He continued and moved past the automated verbal message he had received from the other. "If you dipped would anybody even notice in this place? Like, how would they even know?" He'd never worked at some place like this before, the idea of being potentially the only person on site for something was crazy to him.
Josie felt like her brain hadn't shut off since the night she found out about Devon. Between sleeping too much and not being able to sleep at all, she was exhausted and figured that some sun might be able to help with it all. She brushed her hair out of her face as she laid on one of the many empty chaise lounges alongside the pool, letting out a heavy sigh as she tried to take in her current surroundings. Feeling a tinge of hope pop up in her chest when her eyes met another person that seemed to have the same idea as her, "Take the one next to me, pleaseeee." Dragging out the word to try to convince them more. "I really could use the company today."
The man looked around awkwardly because sure there was somebody else that she was talking to, it felt like anytime they bumped into each other she put a curse on him. "Me?" His hand placed on his chest as she directed the question towards the red head. "Are you sure I'm the company you want right now?" His thick brow raised as he spoke, his expression clear as day that he was both stunned and confused all at the same time. The two of them hadn't exactly ended on great terms so this was new for him.
