How painful were the injections and how long before you had to redo it? I want it for my smile lines and lips
The injections weren't that painful (with and without the extra numbing agents in the liquid injections). They do a topical numbing gel that helps tons and sometimes have you ice the area prior to as well. It's just a weird experience feeling stuff going into your skin. My first two times, I had tender swollen lips for the rest of the day and then it felt fine. The third time was the same, but I ended up with bruising that lasted a week because more of the syringe was injected into my top lip (but ended up looking more natural in the long run). For me they only last about 7 months. Both the medspa and plastic surgeon recommended drinking more water to help prolong the effect. I don't, so there's a chance it could last longer if you are hydrated.? Best of luck if you choose to do it! and I hope you love it just as much.

Scheduling life
Okay sexworkers who only or primarily do sexwork for income, how do you plan your life? My issue is that before I wasnât able take appointments on a lot of days because I was working my âregularâ job. I still work my âregularâ job just a lot less so it leaves a lot of time available for appointments.
My brain is like âyesss, take ALL the appointments!â but honestly, itâs kind of tiring. Like this week, I toured for a few days and the only day I have no appointments (yet)Â is Sunday. A lot of times Iâll start the week and things look like theyâll be steady but not crazy. Then all of a sudden all hell breaks loose.
Do you designate certain days as âno appointment days?â Do you limit yourself to only one appointment on a certain day? Iâm just curious how other people do things.
I try to designate days or specific times in my weekly schedule... appointments, self care/relaxation, errands, social- keeping them fairly consistent week to week so that clients can kind of assume Iâll be available certain days and to work around my schedule. Otherwise I get too focused on the money and say yes to everything, which speeds up the burnout and quickly spirals out of control for me at least.

I usually have two bags (one purse and one gym bag to carry more things and my purse). When doing and outcall, I leave the gym bag with the non essentials behind in my car.
So for the gym bag:
-stockings + garter for special requests
-change of clothes and shoes (only sometimes though)
-water + protein bar snacks
-salt (for a gargle rinse after a session)
-make up
-make up remover wipes
-phone chargers
-shaving razor
-wallet
-travel mileage log (tax purposes)
In the purse I bring with me everywhere:

Just make sure you're not allergic to chrome. It might sound silly, but I didn't think I had any allergies until using a local studio's chrome poles. So many ladies were allergic, they've started switching to stainless steel.

Massage Therapy
So I just saw the LMT posting, and it got me thinking about how I actually wanted to pursue that career when I was a kid. Almost every weekend I would give my mom back rubs for hours (we were watching our favorite TV shows, so time flew by). Also, I was hardly qualified and often made up my own moves like pretending to make cookies on her back lol, so not sure how relaxing it was either hahaha.
Any ways... I grew up saying I wanted to be a massage therapist or masseuse. Being a naive kid, I wouldnât understand why adults tried to correct my language or give me dirty, confused looks. Saying shit like you donât want anyone to get the wrong idea that youâll be giving out happy endings. I legit wanted to pursue this career path, applying to LMT colleges along with my university applications. I was so stoked when the massage school brochures came along in the mail and reading about actually being able to work shortly after graduating from high school and massage school. The thought of working full time and supporting myself right away was so appealing because of my strict upbringing. But then my parents started pressuring me to go to university, telling me MT could be a backup path after I got a BS or BA, telling me I was too smart for that (WTF parents?! Rude!). I wish I was stronger as a teenager / young adult. I let them pick my degree program without even researching it! How stupid is that!? I just believed them when they told the universityâs athletic training program was comparable, because I could do some massage work in that field with athletes. Rubbing fit men? Teenage hormones? Sign me up!
Two years of doing the basic undergrad coursework, I finally realized how full of shit my parents were (didnât help I was super distracted by a host of mental disorders to actually look into what my future career as an AT would entail). At that point I just wanted to graduate school with whatever degree because the stress of classes and still being unable to financially support myself aka get out of under my parentâs rules were literally causing me to break down physically and mentally. Lots of stress induced sicknesses like shingles, acid reflux, etc and a severe increase in my eating disorder habits...Â
Not really going any where with this, but its kind of comical that here I am now - going back to school for another degree that I want and chose for myself, massaging, rubbing, and having sex with men for money to pay off all my debts from my first (and essentially useless) degree, and generally being a black sheep in the family... meanwhile I probably would have had a conservative wholesome life as a LMT that would have fit into their world better if they hadnât meddled so much. Eh theyâre pretty terrible people, and I quite like myself a whole lot more now, so I think its for the best things turned out the way they did.

Healthy while working
The thing that most puts me off working 4 nights in a row isnât just needing time out from the brothel but my body. It doesnât matter how healthy I eat during the week when I go to work I mostly eat junk and there are so many times I go home on grounds of âI need to go home, take some laxatives, and do some pooping!â I really need a brothel friendly diet. One that gives me energy, nutrients, but doesnât cause bloating or cause me to block up. One that keeps my stomach somewhat flat. (What is this mythical diet?) Iâm lucky in a way that due to the location of my brothel Iâm close to a good health food store, a good market, healthy food outlets, grocery store, etc. But itâs easy to slip into sheer laziness and sit around ordering sushi and pinching chips from other girls. For the rest of July I need to work as much as I can each weekend. And thus, need to stay at the brothel in order to do so. I really need to get my shit together. Iâm almost contemplating juicing over the course of the weekend + soup + multivitamins etc. Does sex work affect anyone elseâs digestive system in this way? And regularity? What do you do in terms of diet and exercise to combat the effects? (Iâm pretty sure itâs the stressful environment in conjunction with the topsy turvy shift work.)
I'm the exact same way, especially after 10+ yrs struggling with an eating disorder. Nothing really works 100% in my case. Juicing helps stave off the bloating/constipation if I need to work several days in a row (I try to avoid processed ones or soup because of the sodium), or *very* small healthy snacks and laxative teas after the work day is done. Exercise helps, but I feel like it prevents me from taking additional bookings because Iâm âwastingâ energy on non-financially beneficial tasks. Otherwise I resort to the exact same measures you do. Sorry no real advice, just empathy for your situation.

What constitutes âbrand-damagingâ is a matter of opinion. Visa and MasterCard are fine with doing business with the KKK, for example. Given recent events, it seems plausible that many cops may not have a problem with that, but itâs easy to imagine other kinds of speech they might not like. Political or community groups that might be critical of them? Art or sexualities that might offend someone? Independent news media? Us?
