So, I’ve read on twitter, that a man got arrested for allegedly trying to shoot the moon with a handgun
clearly that man is a werewolf, or really doesn’t like the moon, or took mushrooms
I'm pulling for the last option, but maybe it was a combination of all three.
Rock Bottom || Evie and Cherry
Evie hardly felt Cherry’s arms envelope her, cradling her as she tried to calm down. Her mind was speeding, panic filling her to the point she was scared she’d have to go through another panic attack. This couldn’t be happening to her. Why hadn’t her doctors told her before?
Her hand had been weak since the accident, it would ache, shake and it was tense but she had deduced it all to the over use of crutches. But if her hand didn’t work……if she couldn’t draw.
"No, it’s not okay!" Evie managed to get out, her voice shaking.Art was all she had, it was all she was. Without it, she was nothing. She was nobody. It was the one thing she had from her dad, the memories of him taking her to classes even when she as young, his praises. She could lose this. "I can’t….I cant draw…I…" Her eyes stayed glued to her hand, tying to close it into a fist but not being able to. Her fingers trembled, the numbness spreading the more she forced until a pinching pain shot through her wrist.
She didn’t even take the offered drink, instead she stood up, pacing, her good hand raking through her head repeatedly. “Why? Why is this happening? What did I do to deserve this?” Her voice cracked under the pressure of her emotions and she finally stopped pacing, settling back onto the couch only because she felt like her legs were going to give out on her. “It’s useless…my hands useless….I…” Her sentence cut off by the sob that escaped her. She broke down on that couch, sobs shaking her thin frame as tears rolled down her cheeks. She had never felt so lost, so broken before in her life.
Cherry watched helplessly as the girl walked the length of the room over and over again. She shook her head, unable to give her any answers, or at least any that she wanted to hear. Watching as she took her seat on the couch again, Cherry brought the refused drink to her lips, downing it quickly. She winced as it went down her throat, but she swallowed all the same.
"You didn't do anything to deserve this," she said softly, sitting down next to her and putting an arm around her shoulder. "No one deserves this kind of shit, but it comes all the same. The only thing we can do is hope that it'll make us stronger in the end." Tracing small circles on Evie's back, she listened, jaw tightening. "If you even think about finishing that sentence by saying that you're useless, we're gonna have a problem. You are not nothing, kwiatuszku." The word slipped from her lips so easily, as though it had been dancing there for years. Her mother had called her that when she was younger, and her mother before that. As she curled her arms around her shoulders again, she gave her a gentle squeeze.
Not knowing what else to do, she pulled away. "Do you want me to call someone?" she asked, already reaching for her phone. "I can call Dwayne or Jon or...anyone you want. Or...alternatively, you can stay here for awhile. It doesn't matter to me, sweetie."

The comment of her shyness only increased the faint pink in Evie’s cheeks to full apple red. The moment the satin robe fell, Evie adverted her eyes slightly, chuckling nervously. Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself, straightening her sketch on the easel before getting her drawing supplies.
"I’ve done it once in class before. You know with those models- raise your arm..yeah right there- but that was different and it was before the accident." She told her, trying to find the place she always went to when she drew, trying to relax. It was frustrating, she could feel it, see it but she just….couldn’t get there. Opening her eyes, Evie shook her head. IT as no use so she just told herself to start, that it would come once she was into the drawing.
Picking up her favorite pencil, she leaned forward, eyes trained on Cherry. She took in every curve, every line, scar„ every shadow before focusing back on the paper. Her hand steady, ready to start but as she pressed the tip of the graphite to the canvas, her hand started to shake, the line completely off from where she wanted it to be. Frowning, she pulled back. That was odd. She rotated her wrist, stretching her hand before trying again. She had probably just been tense, it had been a while since she last drew anything.
This time her hand shook more, a mixture of numbness and slight pain spreading through her hand causing her to drop the pencil. No. Picking up the pencil, panic crossing her features, she tried again.
And again.
And again.
She could work her hand, she couldn’t move the pencil. She couldn’t draw. She couldn’t feel her fingers. Standing up, not caring about the way the easel toppled over, knocking all of her supplies to the floor, Evie ran a hand through her hair, tears welling in her eyes.
"No…no…no...no!”
Cherry listened to her, hitching her arm up higher when she was told, her eyes fluttering open as she spoke. "Jon told me about the crash," she responded, voice light. "He was scared shitless... It's nice you have someone who cares so much about you, even if you just met him a few months ago." In truth, it reminded her of her own situation; a girl, already grown, finds a father she never thought she would. Then again, she supposed that there were thousands of stories that read the same.
When she heard the pencil drop, the hollow sound of wood against wood, her eyes shot toward the girl. She hadn't looked at her before, wanting to maintain her position, but she kept them trained on her now. She watched as the pencil shook in her hands, the familiar look of frustration blooming in her cheeks and flashing through her eyes.
The outburst didn't startle her. She saw it coming a mile away, but she hadn't moved until it came to its head. Throwing her legs over the side of the couch, she grabbed her robe from the floor and shrugged it on, cinching it tight. "Hey, hey, shh...it's alright. I swear," she cooed out gently, padding softly over to the girl.
She cradled Evie's head in her arms, rocking her slowly. "Don't worry about it, babe. It's all okay." She kept murmuring words of affirmation, telling her that it was fine over and over again, but she didn't know if it would help. She had seen the way her hand had trembled, how she'd barely been able to hold the pencil at all. It was worse than anyone had thought, or at least worse than anyone had told her. "Come here, sit down on the couch," she said, lifting the girl up by her arms and leading her over to the sofa. She disappeared into the kitchen then, returning with a glass of dark liquid. "Drink this, it'll calm you down."
Agreed. Blood is really a stain that doesn’t get off that easily
Which is why I never go out on killing sprees in my favorite white dress. It's just such a bitch to get clean, and then I get funny looks from the dry-cleaners.

Rock Bottom || Evie and Cherry
When the door opened, Evie’s eyes lowered to the dog in front of her. His tail wagging furiously as he beamed up at her. Smiling, she reached down and pet the pooch, give him a scratch behind his ears. “He’s so cute.” She gushed, bending down so the dog could give her a kiss.
Standing back up, Evie nodded her head, giving her thanks before moving around the apartment. It would be the first time she’d do a nudity portrait so she wanted everything to be just perfect. After walking through the rooms, she decided that the living room, with all the windows, would work just great. “Help me move the couch slightly to the left?” She asked Cherry, dropping her things so they could adjust the room to her liking.
It took a few minutes for everything to be all set and for Evie to have set up but she had, she sat back on the kitchen table chair she had claimed as her own. “Okay sooo….when you’re ready, you can um…” She scratched the back of her head, trying to not appear as nervous as she was. “Undress and lay back, keep your legs together, ankles crossed softly,” She continued, trying to visualize the best position for this.
"Yeah, he's a killer, that one," she said sarcastically, giving him a little pat on the side as she gazed down affectionately at him. "Maximus; my little gladiator and the only guy I ever let stick around."
Cherry plopped down on the couch, her eyes following the girl as she moved around the apartment. When she had finally decided on the living room, Cherry stood, placing her glass on the end table and nodding. She had assumed it would take a little rearranging, so she had cleared out any unnecessary furniture from the room.
Once the room was arranged, she drained the rest of her wine, sitting the empty glass in the sink before returning to the living room. The nervousness of the girl made her chuckle. "Don't be so shy, sweetie," she cooed with a grin. With her lithe fingers, she undid the sash around her waist, the red satin robe slipping off her shoulders and falling in a pool around her ankles. She positioned herself just as Evie asked her to, closing her eyes.
"I know you said this isn't your area of expertise, but you've never done this once, have you?" she asked, her eyes still closed as she continued to hold her position. "It's alright if you haven't, just...don't think of it as me. Don't think of it as a living, breathe person who is incredibly naked in front of your eyes. I don't know...imagine I'm...just a celebrity in a movie or something. Or a picture you're practicing from, tracing," she offered, trying to help. She knew what it was like to be nervous about this sort of thing, and rightfully so. Seeing someone like this, so absolutely primal, it was disorienting with views of modern society. "Just a thought."
yeah, but I get my fair share of those everyday.
I imagine they're a lot more fun when you don't get blood on you.
Rock Bottom || Evie and Cherry
Packing the last of her supplies into her art bag, Evie heaved a heavy sigh and sat back on her bed for a second. She stared down at her leg, the one that had been previously broken. She was allowed to walk on it now, without a cast, but every step was still painful and she was certain, there was more damage to her leg than the doctors told her.
Everything had seemed to pile up since the accident and progress seemed nonexistent. She was stressed and frustrated and the one thing she did to help relieve her of everything bad in life, she had lost all muse for. She couldn’t bring herself to even lift a pencil.
It was the exact reason she convinced herself that this was a good thing. She kept on repeating that as she left the flat and made her way to Cherry’s. Even as her fist knocked on the door, Evie told herself that this was the first step to get her art back.
Cherry stood in her bathroom, curling her dark hair to give it the perfect bounce. She sprayed the finished product with hairspray, not knowing how long the painting would take and not wanting it to deflate before it was finished. Next, she traced her lips with a crimson shade of stain. Cinching her red satin bathrobe up, she excited the bathroom, going to her plugging her phone into her stereo and setting it on one of her playlists.
All the actions were routine to her, the end result just wouldn't be the same. Of course, she didn't know Evie all too well, but that was true for most of the people who had seen her as Evie would. For that reason, she wasn't nervous, and the wine she poured into a glass and brought to her lips was simply to help her be more fluid and malleable for the young artist.
When the knock on the door echoed through the apartment, Max bolted straight for the door, growling at whoever was on the other side. "Oh Max, behave," she said, picking up her glass of wine and heading to open the door for the girl. As soon as she did, Max turned from a frightening beast to a slobbering baby, his tail swishing as he waited excitedly to be pet by the new guest. "Sorry about him, he's a big teddy bear," she apologized. "Come on in, set up wherever you'd like. You can check out all the rooms, see what kind of lighting or whatever works best for you."
