BABY SHOMA UNO 5EVA!!!!!!!!!!! THE CUTENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yuzu’s long program was such a quietly perfect beast at Worlds this year that it would be hard for him not to win, but I am so pleased Shoma was a super close silver. I LOVE MY SHOMA SO MUCH. ONE DAY, BABY. Apparently Shoma turns me into a cross between a tween and a proud mother and I am not ashamed.

Other last thoughts on Worlds 2017: Feeling bad for Nathan and Javi (mostly Nathan, like what happened, bro) (I know what happened, TROUBLES WITH BOOTS, also maybe nerves, but babe, you’ve done 5 quads in a program and no one else has LIKE WHERE IS THAT NATHAN) and anyway, was surprise pleased for Boyang Jin because FLOATING IN MIDAIR ABILITY HALLO most graceful:

I am in love with this little red ballerina Miss Alina Zagitova. She is FOURTEEN and totally pulls the ultimate baller moves...puts ALL of her jumps in the 2nd half of her program in order to get bonus points, and beats Evgenia Medvedeva’s technical score as a result (though still winds up with a distant silver medal at Nationals). But still. Getting there! And Tano and Rippon jumps galore!

MAO AND DAISUKE ARE STILL THE CUTEST BEINGS ALIVE. I CAN’T HANDLE THE POWER OF THIS MUTUAL ADMIRATION SOCIETY. Also, I am glad that they both just assume Mao will definitely compete through the 2018 Olympics, if not beyond.

Yo let’s all take note of Evgenia pulling off a triple-triple-triple jump combination at the 3:38 mark literally JUST FOR FUNSIES because she had already done so many triple toe jumps that her last one in the combo couldn’t count. Now THAT is baller status. I wish her routines had a little more variety/spice, but who am I to say that when she’s routinely beating her next closest competitors by double digits...
