Snow White sucks. She doesn't even do anything important unlike Elsa and Anna.

You say that Snow White sucks and doesn’t do anything “important” but you forget that if it wasn’t for her movie, Disney would be nonexistent right now and your lovely Elsa and Anna would have never been created.

I’m so sick and tired of people complaining Snow White doesn’t do anything.

You need to take a little context and history into the matter of what Snow White could and couldn’t do for the time period her movie was made during.

Secondly, she DOES PLENTY. She cooks, she cleans, she puts the dwarfs in order and doesn’t take crap from any of them (Grumpy). She runs for her LIFE after being nearly murdered by her stepmother. She dresses in rags because of her stepmother, even though she’s the rightful princess.

She makes a home for herself and tries to be as positive and courageous as she can after being nearly MURDERED.

She is kind to EVERYONE. Including the “old woman.”

But Snow White doesn’t take crap from anyone, she’s just kind and sweet and positive and optimistic. What is wrong with these qualities????

Not every girl will be a Mulan, not every girl will be a Tiana. Every Disney princess is different and they all have different strengths, stop trying to brush Snow White’s great qualities and strengths under the rug because they don’t fit your “standard” for what a woman should be. If a woman wants to cook, clean, fight, rule the world, it’s up to HER. Maybe you don’t think she’s doing something important, but she clearly did.

And as stated Snow White paved the way for every other single Disney princess and leading lady, for that matter, so get off your high horse of “the modern princesses are so much better bc they actually do stuff” and respect the classics.

Snow White is my favorite because she NEVER ONCE says anything bad about her situation. She does not let a bad situation ruin her. She doesn’t complain about it at all. And what’s the first thing she does after getting lost and tormented in the woods? She apologizes! She is so selfless that she actually apologizes for alarming all the litter woodland critters with her sobbing. When she is down for the count and all seems lost, instead of whining about it and waiting for someone to come and get her she pulls herself together with a smile and says “I’m sure i’ll get along somehow.” So it really pisses me off when people talk crap about Snow White saying that she’s weak and not as strong as some of the other princesses because personally and from my own experiences i’ve realized that a lot of times the very strongest thing you can do is pick yourself from a bad plight and say “I am going to be okay.” And she does it with a smile and a song and a benevolence that no other princess can rival.

The Blunders of Numbers

As a product of public school education, I really wish I was not only a number in the system. I would like to not only be known by my SAT score, or what I got on my trig test, or how many volunteer hours I have, or what grade I'm in. That's all trivial. What about the fact that I spent the last four years in marching band, working my ass off? How about the long nights spent studying for an exam because the teacher needs to have so many grades before the semester ends? How about the lack of a social life I'm allowed to have because I need to good grades to get into college? A college that will only look at the numbers... My test scores, my age, my GPA. Forget the essay, you only need that if there is a tie for someone with the same numbers as you.

Being told

When you're young, adults tell you that you have your whole life ahead of you. They tell you not to rush your childhood because it comes and goes faster than you think. But my childhood? It was kind of like playing a video game. Only I wasn't the one with the controller.... Which isn't bad at first. Little ones need guidance, support, to be told what to do because they're too young to make those decisions on their own. However, after a certain point, said children need to be able to make decisions for themselves. I may only be an almost adult to all of the real adults, but that doesn't make me any less capable of making decisions. I am eighteen. I'm not in any need of your assistance in things like what to eat for dinner or if I need help cutting my steak. I can cut my own damn steak.
