"Daddy," Debra smiled up at her father as she tugged on his shirt and blinked up at him with big blue eyes, "if you're not too tired can you read to me?"
Smiling down at her, Arthur reached to pick Debra up and sat her on his lap. “Sure, honey. What would you like me to read to you? Anything for my little miracle.” Saying the last as he pressed a kiss to her head.
"Why do you call me that, Daddy," Debra asked, eyes going wide with wonder and curiosity. "I’m not a miracle, I’m just me."
Leaning down to rub his nose against his daughter's, Arthur let out a chuckle as he looked at her with all the love he had. "You're a miracle to me. The fact that I have such a beautiful and smart daughter is a miracle for me. You, Debra Nielsen are a very special young lady. Don't forget that, okay?"
