Happy Lesbian Visibility Day
To all lesbians: We see you, we celebrate you.
In highschool I wrote a story about a middle-generation of stellar travelers. Their parents were born on earth and left as children, and the middle generation will not live long enough to see their destination. They live their entire lives on the ship and I wrote about them trying to find their place in everything. They will never know blue skies and warm beaches and open fields with warm breezes. They’ll never know birdsong or crickets or frogs. They’ll never hear the rain on the roof of a dreary day. I never could find the right way to end the story. I wanted it to be a happy ending, but I didn’t know how to do it.
I realize now that it was a book about me dealing with depression before I even knew it. Looking back at how blatant the projecting was, it’s obvious now. It wasn’t then.
In the story, the middle-generation people are lost. They’re apathetic. They’re just a placeholder. The only job they have is to keep the ship running, have kids, and die. As the middle generation of people began becoming adults, suicide rates were skyrocketing. Crime and drug rates were jumping. This generation was completely apathetic because they felt that they had no use.
In the story, a small group of people in the middle-generation create the Weather Project. They turn the ship into a terrarium. They make magnificent gardens and take the DNA of animals they took with them and recreate them and they make this cold, metal spaceship that they have to live their entire lives on into a home. They take what little they have and they break it and rearrange it into something beautiful. They take this radical idea and turn the ship into a wonderful jungle of trees and birds and sunshine.
And I realize now how much it reflects my state of mind as I transitioned from a child into an adult while dealing with depression. You always hear “it gets better” and “when you’re older things will be easier” and I was so sick of waiting for it to get better. I was in the middle-generation stage. And I was sick of it. I was so sick of waiting.
When I was in highschool I didn’t know how to end the story. I didn’t know how to have a happy ending. I didn’t have the life experience then to finish the story in a meaningful way. I didn’t know how to make it better for these middle-generation characters.
But now that I’m older, I’m learning. That if you sit and wait for things to get better, it never will. You have to take your life and break it apart and rearrange it into something beautiful. You have to make the cold metal ship into the garden that you deserve. You have to make your own meaning. You have to plant your own garden.
You have to teach yourself that being happy is not a radical idea.
God you guys I never thought this would become so popular 😱 I was gonna name it The Weather Project after the art installment that inspired it

things my parents never discussed with me
Save 10% of each check and put it into your savings. Living paycheck to paycheck will never keep you ahead of the game.
If you’re undecided about a career, pickup a trade or work your way up the ladder at your job. Do not continue to work in the same position for more than 2-3 years.
Seek therapy for your issues instead of self medicating with casual sex or drugs, venting to your friends constantly, becoming antisocial or co-dependant on someone. It’s not healthy.
If you’re not receiving the same energy you put into a friendship or relationship, leave. You are not a doormat.

friendly reminder that people you consider rays of sunshine can:
get pissed
get stressed
experience negative emotions
cry
feel rebellious
be done with everyone’s shit
be too tired for anything
feel overwhelmed
need to be comforted
get furious and demand to be taken seriously
Take me seriously 🙄
Turns out everything, food, medicine, sleep, is just placebo and, with enough willpower, humans can overcome any of their needs. The problem is, no one knows how to do it except a few elite members of society.
This is a writing prompt, but it’s also true.
We just have yet to come up with a way to make it comprehensive to all ...
what are your venus and mars signs?
Venus in Aquarius, Mars in Aries 💕
So much in common it seems ? 🤷🏽♀️
Mood for eternity
Same, definitely
How to feel like an angel
-wear rose face masks -moisturize your skin -use sugar scrubs -paint your nails a pale pink -listen to new music -curl your hair -bat your eyelashes softly -bake blueberry muffins -wear satin dresses -burn lavender scented candles -buy yourself roses
And over all take care of yourself, you are ethereal, you matter.
Sometimes a little disconnection is what you really crave, a little time to realign and fall in love with yourself all over again. Don’t be afraid to take a break if you feel like you’re losing your creative edge or your spark feels a tad dim. Use that time to take in your surroundings both internal and external and once you’re ready to re-enter the world you’ll be an improved version of yourself and one step closer to becoming the best version possible.
How inspired
I think it’s time for my 2 months of tea and meditation Samuel.

#MondayMotivation
7 Reasons Why You’re Lacking Motivation
1. Negative people - misery loves company. Some people have given up on their dreams and watching others live theirs causes them to reflect on their own decisions which they find uncomfortable and hence why they try to stop others from winning. We must be aware that we become the average of the people we spend the most time with and choose our inner circle wisely.
2. Limiting beliefs - false narratives embedded in the mind. Limitations exist within the mind and this is why we must identify limiting beliefs when they arise and work through them. One example is “I’m not good enough” this is a limiting belief but it can be reprogrammed when we work on our skills to get better over time.
3. Ignorance - not wanting to work on our flaws. True wisdom is knowing the extent of one’s own ignorance, in order to be able to overcome our flaws we must be willing to look within ourselves. We must acknowledge things such as “I have the tendency to be lazy” and work on ourselves so that these flaws do not limit us.
4. Excuses - justifying why we aren’t taking action. Excuses sound best to those who are making them and this is just not good enough when we’re seeking to create change in our lives. “I’m tired, I’m cold, It’s too late” these are all excuses we can throw out the window if we want to start taking action today.
5. Conditioning - believing what we’re told. The society we live in does not encourage us to think for ourselves - it indoctrinates us with belief systems that don’t serve us from birth. It is up to us to reprogram our minds and decondition ourselves to be able to create the reality we desire - check out How To Leave The Matrix for more info.
6. Consumption - overloading our senses. Today there are a plethora of distractions on offer - TV, video games, drugs, sex, food - when we overindulge in these activities we take our focus away from ourselves and this causes us to continue to seek temporary pleasure to be comfortable with where we’re at instead of taking action.
7. Instant gratification - wanting things right now. Many of us give up on working toward our goals because the results have not yet manifested. We must keep in mind that anything worth having doesn’t come easy and anything that comes easy isn’t worth having - this is the concept of deferred gratification.
Our thoughts, beliefs & actions create the reality we’re experiencing.
Peace & positive vibes.
