#CambridgeFellow: Tiny Happy People BACKED BY THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE!!

The BBC has launched #TinyHappyPeople, a five-year initiative to support parents and carers in developing the language and communication skills of 0-4 year old children. And The Duchess of Cambridge has endorsed the national launch of #TinyHappyPeople, a BBC platform providing resources and support to parents and carers of under fives.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been involved with #TinyHappyPeople for a number of months, having visited the Tiny Happy People team last November to take part in development sessions and to learn more about the production process.

Last week, The Duchess of Cambridge met families involved in the creation and piloting of #TinyHappyPeople. She spoke with them about the ways in which they have used the resources, and how they have seen their children’s language and communication develop as a result.

Recognising the significance of the project to supporting parents as they guide their children through the earliest years of life, The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will collaborate with the BBC as they continue to develop and roll out #TinyHappyPeople.

#CambridgeFellow: Court Circular Friday (3rd July 2020) – The Duke of Cambridge this afternoon visited the Rose and Crown, Old Church Road, Snettisham Norfolk. As pubs and stores reopen around the UK this weekend, The Duke popped into the local pub in Norfolk to wish the staff well and hear how they have adapted their operations in order to allow them to return to a new normal. Rose & Crown is a 600-year-old pub in Snettisham. Around 6 miles from Anmer Hall—the Cambridges’ Norfolk home. The Duke enjoyed his pint of Aspall Suffolk Draught Cyder and a plate of chips as he talked & hear about their (landlords & staff members) personal experiences during lockdown. #CambridgeFellow: This #ChildrensHospiceWeek The Duchess of Cambridge joined @EACH_hospices families last Thursday to plant a garden for The Nook, one of EACH’s purpose-built hospices. Using the plants she bought during her visit to Fakenham Garden Centre last week, and then sent more to @EACH_hospices the Nook this week to create the patio garden, The Duchess of Cambridge worked alongside an @EACH_hospices volunteer gardener to plant and make a patio garden that will provide enjoyment for children and families. She’d designed it herself to mark #ChildrensHospiceWeek & chose plants such as lavender (her favourite), geraniums, sunflowers & herbs for a sensory experience. The Duchess also kept her vow to the Delf family, she planted a sunflower🌻 in memory of Fraser Delf who died, aged nine, at @EACH_hospices Milton hospice in January.
