Lock Down-Great Hall
I’m more likely to survive if I have backup. Someone trained by an auror for battle, someone tough and fierce with an acromantula patronus…or someone who can just stay close to me and run for help if we run into trouble. Someone with white hair. Oh look, it’s you. Come on. You aren’t really afraid, are you?
No, absolutely not me. Have you considered the trouble you could get in? No, not me. I don’t want to be, I can’t risk getting expelled.
She giggled, clearly fairly inebriated on contents she’d stolen or taken herself, and tapped Camden on the nose. “We have matching hair! Twins! Now try to keep up and dance as good as me, too!”
“I always wanted a sister but no promises on the dancing!” He danced along to the music, allowing his element to enhance what natural ability he did have.
WHOO!
It’s my birthday! Happy birthday to meeee! *He shoves an entire cupcake into his mouth in one go, grinning around the massive amounts of icing and cake.*
Happy Birthday! *Camden grinned back, eating his cupcake in a more subdued manner*
Poppy’s hair was streaked with pink highlights that only continued to multiply and spread straight to her roots as she danced along to the music. She only had until ten o’clock, and she planned to make the most of her time. “C’mon!” she shouted to the person nearest her, reaching out her hand to them. “I look hot tonight, dance with me!”
“Okay! But you look good all the time!” he yelled back. Once the words actually registered in his mind, his hair flushed to match the colour of his hair. He took her hand, doing an awkward little dance- and even though it was humiliating he was glad that he had come.
Her hair was brimming with stripes. Green, red, yellow, black. For the moment, she didn’t know, however, and was simply glaring into the crowd, watching her two friends dance. Not that Zeke was a friend. Not that she had any reason to have this weird mixture of feelings inside of her anyways. The song ended, and a tray passed by, and she grabbed another drink, downing it quickly as the red and green quickly started to overpower the yellow and black in her strands. Life was shit. “I need a bottle of fire whiskey. Right. Now.”
Camden was dancing through the crowd feeling happier than he had in a long time. It felt kind of strange, he thought, strange but nice. What he couldn’t see was that his usually white hair was a vibrant mess of pink, blue and purple. He spotted the older Ravenclaw and waltzed over. “Your hair looks awesome!” He paused for a minute, taking in the fact that she didn’t look too happy. “Do you wanna dance?”

Camden’s Social Skills: A moodboard
“I can do it. You let me… I can.” She strokes at the strands again, gentler this time, as if it were her cat Hera she were petting, back when she first got her in the pet shop. She goes back in time almost, although the hair in her memory is the exact opposite of Camden’s as Hera is a sleek, black bombay cat. Mila was so young and had never been near a domestic animal before for more than a few minutes. They weren’t allowed to have animals at the orphanages and her only foster family hadn’t had any pets in the year they first adopted her. Hera had been the first. And she was all her own.
She could remember walking into the pet shop in Diagon Alley. The owls slightly frightened her at first, though she found herself curious about them after not too long at all. Reptiles had also seemed appealing for a moment, but a frog hadn’t been up to her standards. If she wanted a reptile, she would have rather had a snake. She was forever jealous of Marlo for succeeding where she failed with that one. The first time she laid eyes on a cat, however, it was Hera, and she was so intrigued and yet so hesitant to approach this new, soft, yet fierce, quiet creature. Her hair had been so light to the touch as the poor cat froze under Mila’s fingertips, feeling either scared or threatened. (She hadn’t known at the time how to read cats, but now she could interpret Hera’s every twitch.) Mila had given her great affection ever since. Unfortunately, like her owner, the cat liked to roam. It made her miss her in times like these.
She pulls herself from her thoughts in a snap of realization. The hand remands on his head, but stills. “Sorry?” It takes her quite a few minutes to catch up to the conversation. “’ow specific d’ya want?”
Camden was about to nod in response, granting her permission when he noticed her zoning out slightly. He couldn’t tell what she was reminiscing about- after all he was hardly a mind reader- but he could tell that it made her happy. He couldn’t resist smiling at that though, because it was sweet to see the older, kind of scary Ravenclaw in that mindset.
Camden just smiles at her and murmurs, “It’s fine.” In response to her question he joked, “How specific can you get?”
