“If they are going to get me, they will get me, even in church.”
Remembering the man who knew the risks and took them anyway.
John F. Kennedy: 1917 - 1963.
President Kennedy, surrounded by visitors, sits in a convertible during a visit to Yosemite National Park. August 18, 1962.
The Fultz Sisters - Mary Louise, Mary Ann, Mary Alice, and Mary Catherine - were the first identical African-American quadruplets born in 1946. They met President Kennedy at the White House in 1962.
Love this man and all his smiles!
The New England Patriots, then known as the Boston Patriots, sent a letter to President Kennedy in 1961 asking him to fill the roll of receiver since he was "a great pass receiver on the Harvard touch football squad".

President Kennedy admires some of the high Sierras in Yosemite National Park, August 18, 1962.
Photographed in 1963 after the President issued his “challenge” regarding the 50-mile/24-hour walk, this image was evidently printed by photographer Mark Shaw later in 1963, most likely in preparation for his book, The John F. Kennedy’s.
Kennedy said, “I think most American people are so weak, they can’t even walk 50 miles within 20 hours.” Immediately, the so-called “Kennedy March” became all the rage. This photograph was taken at a Kennedy March that included Secret Service Agent Clint Hill, Charles Spalding (the President’s Harvard roommate), and Prince “Stash” Radziwell (Kennedy’s brother-in-law), as well as Kennedy’s personal physician, Max Jacobson, who began the walk, but only finished 11 miles before turning his ankle. Upon completion of the walk, Kennedy awarded his friends inscribed teabags in place of medals.

Four years into their marriage, John and Jackie welcome their daughter, Caroline Kennedy. The parents couldn’t look prouder after their baby was baptized in December 1957.
Anyone else feeling this mood today?
