7:03 pm 23rd june 2022 @ home : i just watched kaiti yoo's latest yt vid about the 4 life changing lessons she learnt from her 4 years of college and i could not agree more!!
1. you don't know until you try
2. rejection is re-direction
3. ask for help
4 good things take time
and i was literally picturing my own life. i'm currently battling my own challenges, but her video gave me so much more hope! so a lot of my plans have not gone my way in the last few months but i've always kept on moving ahead with all my strength 💚 and i continue to do so.
i know amazing things that are amazing for ME are ahead of me.
what i liked the most from her video was to have figure things out eventually, even though it tales time, something that i too realize now / just 10 months ago, i thought i needed completely different things: move to a new country to study further, leave my family and friends and settle somewhere in the other side of the planet, travel away and go to concerts > fast forward to this moment: i want to be closer to my family (having spent about 6 months w my family and extended relatives, i've realized that i would even be in my own home state if i had good professional opportunities here), settle down for good, and try to be present at the moment as much as possible. / after my visa got rejected, i interned somewhere where i learnt so much and grew professionally / i meet and chill w my closest friends and have been doing whatever i was not able to do because of the work stress and completely being in the moment
i'm still not completely at peace but much much better than how and what i used to be and growing everyday 💛
25th may 2022 / 11:36 am - i feel quite nice while reading this, sipping a bad sleepy owl coffee, enjoying the weather, currently unemployed, healthier, and with a better physique :) making a point to write regularly on tumblr and low key wishing that one day i get worlwide praise for my regular writing 🤣
Can’t get over this little house in the hotel full of coffee and tea, a little kettle, mugs and sugar
2:30 am 19th jan 2022 : it's been some crazy last couple of days with a lot of household chores, running around, a lot of drives, a few good news, a few worrisome news of family members falling sick, a few stressful moments of visa awaiting but this moment and the song on the background played in spotify while i fiddled away w various ig filters and made a video, it truly was peaceful. you do find peace at the most unexpected places. this is a v chaotic parking area in a tier iii city of india and this is where i felt at peace while waiting for my dad in the parking area. idk if it was the fact that i was able to make a tier iii city look pretty, the liberation of driving or a v liberating session @ the gym, but nevertheless, a pretty happy moment :)
perhaps you’ll find your perfect career at 41. maybe you will meet the love of your life at 53. at 75, you might discover something you have a great talent for. your favorite musician of all time? possibly, you first listen to them with 38. life doesn’t end with your twenties.
my new measurenent of happiness: happiness that i felt on the day of my medical check up for my study visa and when i ended up having brunch @ kori's / i was their first customer that day (they hadn't even opened up properly) but omg, how happy had i felt, because i'd been craving kori's korean for so so sooo long and i just couldn't eat any of it after i'd transferred to a new location (which has some really shitty eateries btw) / anyway, i'm gonna remember that feeling for a long long time :)
