And a few eyebrows. Cameron Malkin. East Coast. 24. Hell bound.

She giggled and said “Oh, I’m into all kinds of things.” When he started to say something, she looked at him intently, trying to push down her nervousness. The word ‘love’ crossed her mind but she tried to ignore it. She couldn’t help but smile at his words and she said “I like it, too… Every time I’m with you, I just feel… I feel so damn happy. And it’s kind of terrifying but part of me doesn’t really care that it’s scary?… You just make everything feel so easy.” 

“You do too.” Everything Alice said rang true to Cameron. Their feelings matched each other, he fell into a short content silence, a smile gently forming on his features. “This is nice. Do we ever have to go back in?”

“That’s actually a great idea. Honestly, you’d make a really hot zombie,” she said in a playful sexy tone. “Well, I can always help,” she laughed. “It’s just fun, really. But I get it if you’re not into it. Personally, I don’t care whether you’re a zombie or a pirate or just Cameron for Halloween because either way, we’re gonna’ have some fun,” she said, leaning up a bit to give him a soft, long kiss. She wasn’t sure what it was but whenever she was with him these days, everything felt a bit easier. 

Cameron smirked, raising an eyebrow at her compliment. “You into that?” He teased, and smiled at her offer to help before leaning into the kiss, taking her face in his hand to gently cup her cheek. His lips moved against hers in a soft, loving way. He felt himself falling for this girl, with all the unclear thoughts of his mind, she was the one escape, clear as day. “I..” He started but wasn’t sure he could muster up the courage to admit his feelings. A fear of rejection putting him off. “I like this. What we have. You.”

She laughed and said “No, you would not! Also, you don’t have to have a store-bought costume or anything. You can get creative. A big majority of my Halloween costumes have come from thrift stores and other stuff that I’ve just put together. You just gotta’ get creative.” 

“What about some sort of gangly zombie?” Cameron joked, knowing he’d never be able to pull off a costume without feeling severely out of place. “I think you over-estimate my creative abilities.”

“Yeah, maybe this year,” she smiled, though her mouth dropped in playful shock a moment later. “What? You’ve never dressed up? Oh my god, you gotta’ do it this year. It’s so much fun!”

“What costume would fit me? I’m like 6 foot 5! I just look ridiculous in anything!” Cameron admitted, a laugh filling his words. His hand moved to gently rub the length of her arm as they spoke.

“I’m just super bummed we can’t watch scary movies here. Like… I get it but the best part of October is watching all those stupid gory scary movies they put on the Sci-Fi and Chiller channel,” she laughed, changing her position a bit so her head was on his lap and her legs were stretched out. “I’ve always wanted to be Wednesday Addams for Halloween but I’ve just never gotten around to it.”

“That does suck.” Cameron agreed, trying to think of a way he could sneak a scary movie in for Alice, wanting to do anything to make her happy. His eyes followed her as she moved into a new position, his lap cradling her head. “Maybe this year?” He suggested, “I’ve never really dressed up for Halloween.”

She giggled and said “Um, I am definitely that type of girl. Is it that obvious?” Pepper had been able to peg her as one of those girls as well almost immediately. “Seriously though, it’s the best time of the year. And Halloween is my shit if I’m being completely honest with you.”

“I can get on board with that. I love creepy shit and Halloweens the perfect excuse for that.” Cam nodded, enjoying the simplicity and innocence of their conversation, they didn’t have to deal with why they were in Glendale of their afflictions. Alice made Cameron feel normal.

alice--griffin:

“Better now,” she chuckled. “Like I said, I’m not super crazy about family visitation, so…” she said as she glance down at her hands. Her parents had only been here together twice; when she was admitted and when they wanted to pull her out after her escape with Pepper. They couldn’t ‘stand to be around each other’ so instead of taking turns to come see her, they just didn’t come at all. She leaned against him and after a moment of silence and hoping to make the mood lighter, said “So are you psyched for fall? Because I can’t wait.”

Listening to Alice talk was definitely bringing Cameron out of the foul mood he’d fallen into and the girls mention of the Autumns months near arrival definitely caused a slight smirk to form on his lips. “I have always preferred the winter months. Let me guess, you’re a pumpkin spice lattes and blankets by a fire sort of girl?”

“It is always the way of the world. When we crave the quiet the universe desires our attention to try and keep us immersed in some form of reality?” she offered, not all too sure of her point, maybe her medication was higher than normal.

Cameron nodded in agreement, noting how she didn’t seem all that confident in her remark. “Although, I’m not sure which reality I want to face. This, here, is definitely not it. But the place I escape to in my mind is probably just as dark.”

alice--griffin:

She smiled at his words. He had missed her. She gently kissed his cheek and said “I missed you, too.. I’m sorry you didn’t have visitors… If I’d known, I would’ve come to find you earlier.”

Cam’s eyes locked onto the clouds, shaking his head as he silently dismissed her words. “You’re here now.” His fingers found her hair and absentmindedly played with the brown locks. “How are you?”

She sat down next to him and briefly leaned her head against his shoulder. “I’m sorry, I know I kind of went AWOL… I’m not a huge fan of family visitation weekend so I was hiding…”

Cameron wrapped his arms around the girl and pulled them to the ground, letting her lean on him as they embraced. “Don’t apologise. I sort of did the same thing. No one’s ever going to visit me, it’s easier to keep out the way. I missed you though.”

Alice had been wandering around for the past few hours, trying to find something to do. Another family visitation had passed without a word from her parents and it had left Alice feeling more than low. When she spotted Cam sitting in the grass, she made her way over and lingered a bit so she could hear what he was singing, sure he’d stop if he saw her. He eventually did feel her presence and when he addressed her, she said “I just wanted to see if I could join ya’…”

Cameron immediately clamped up as he recognised the other to be Alice, his mouth couldn’t seem to function for a moment before he decided it was best to gently tap the ground beside him in a silent invitation. “Where the shit did you disappear to?” He questioned, once the words seemed to return to him. A sly smirk formed on his lips. That was his way of saying he’d missed her.

He’s filled with growing exhaustion as he walks around the front yard, the sun is too hot for his liking but right now it’s better than being inside and being handed another pile of paperworks. Sure, Rooney is a dilligent you male who likes to make sure his work is perfect but there are times where all he wants to do is take some fresh air and this is one of those times. He has considered lighting up a smoke though refrains at last minute, thinking it would bring trouble to his reputation. Hands in his pockets, he begins to lurk around until he hears someone singing quietly. Rooney smiles a little but tries not to disturb until he’s done. “Not really. Just needed some air. How are you doing?”

Cameron didn’t recognise the man conversing with him, but it was refreshing to see a new face every now and then, if he had more energy Cam probably would’ve found some way to mess with him but he just wasn’t in the right frame of mind. “Just thinking myself into an existential crisis.” He shrugged, nonchalantly, wondering whether the stranger had heard him singing. Not that he cared but he didn’t have the best voice.

“Just checking up. See how you’re doing.” Their first meeting had been a bit harsh, to say at least, but it was presumably something to be expected from an encounter with people who bore severe anger issues—he seemed relatively calm, now, to the point where he even sang and Elle had to hold back her bewilderement briefly. It was a pleasant sort of surprise, if she had to admit herself. Hopefully things wouldn’t go sour now. “How have you been, Cameron?”

It took Cameron a moment before remembering who the lady was, the one he’d rather rudely spoken to back in his early days at Glendale. “I don’t know.” He shrugged at her question, a blank expression falling on his features. For the first time in years, Cam didn’t have a guard up. That probably would’ve frightened him if he was more aware of his feelings. “I don’t feel anything at the moment.”

Lilith had finally met a reprieve with her doctor and had once again been allowed outside on the provision that she didn’t try to escape again, the brunette had of course lied since she knew deep down that if met with the opportunity then she would certainly try it. The introverted woman had noted the other singing and whilst not aiming to start a conversation she had merely listened to his singing, they were lyrics that intrigued her since she had met death already. “I was merely passing, you don’t have to assume I want something…” Lilith then answered when she realised her was talking to her.

The woman’s question lead to Cam shrugging, nonchalantly. “Hmm, guess I’m just used to people always wanting something from me when I’m searching for some peace and quiet.” He admitted, the usual anger that shrouded his words was gone, the new medication he was on made everything.. quiet. He’d lost sense of all emotions.

Cameron sat on the grass, staring out a the garden. He was admittedly a little lost in his thoughts and didn’t want to be outside, it was too hot for his liking but something his therapist had said about getting outside, not letting himself stay cooped up in doors had stuck out. And so out he wondered, into the sunny garden. His fingers mindlessly picked at the grass beneath him as he hummed gently to himself, the humming turned into the tune of a personal favourite song and then developed into the lyrics and so, quietly on the grassy knoll, Cam sung to himself. “There are things that used to make me smile. One of them was you for just a little while. You left me for dead so far away, I replaced you with fear and shame.You'll be happy on the day I die..”

He hadn’t noticed the other occupant of the garden approaching so it startled him slightly when they walked by. “Do you want something?” He muttered before looking up to see who had interrupted the quiet.

As he undressed her, she did the same in between kisses. She got his pants and boxers down and grabbed his butt just for a moment, giving him a smirk and biting his lip. Once she pulled them off, she pressed his body against hers, filled with excitement. Now that they actually meant something to each other and weren’t just strangers, everything felt that much more sexy and exciting. She leaned her neck back as he kissed it, dragging her nails gently across his back. As her blues eyes met his, she gently whispered “Fuck me..”

Cam met Alice’s request with a deep groan and quickly gave up the teasing act for now only wanting to please her, make her feel good and enjoy herself....

The mess of dark hair on his head was tangled and sweaty, slowly he pushed it out of his face as he collapsed beside Alice and pulled her close to his chest before beginning to layer gentle kisses along her forehead and down her nose. His heart pounded heavily against his rib cage as he tried to steady his breathing but the wide smile on his face didn’t once falter. “You’re beautiful.”
