I'd die for themmmmm please let Alabasta end with a little flash of them together having their baby or something because I'm tired of the "Mr 9 is dead" HE IS NAWWWT
I'm not the only one who thought they have Team Rocket energy, right?
Also in video form:
I would've throw up right there if I were Zoro, actually.
Imagine this man being the main protector of your crew.
THERE HASN'T BEEN NO ONE MORE STUPID IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH HOW STUPID HE IS AND HOW MUCH I LOVE HIM FOR IT
I'm so grateful for this scene and the fact that Nami is the one with him in this moment, oh my god. I've watched this interview while I was having dinner (it came out today and they talk about the season with spoilers) and they mention this scene around 2:00 and Mackenyu and Emily talk about shooting this moment lmao.
KING OF PETTINESS
He gave us one of the best performances of this season playing fuckass Mr 9, I still can't believe it. Rip the divaest diva of all, this man outsold the original character in every way possible.
LMAOOOOOOO HE IS USOPP
I WAS CLUTCHING MY PEARLS
There are several jokes I'm shocked they came out of Zoro's mouth this season (and in season 1 too tbh) but nothing could have prepared me for this one and the laugh after. Mayhaps I should thank Miss Goldenweek after all because, to me, there's layers to this lmao.
Here she is in all her glory
Apollo, buddy, that was not very supportive, caring boyfriend of you.
It wasn't, but in his defense, he is "trying", it's just that he and Kore don't really exist in the same worlds and their perspectives aren't manifesting in the exact same way.
Apollo is someone who's basically a celebrity, he's lived in Olympus virtually his entire life and in that time he's gone through more of his fair share of "social media drama" where he's now, by and large, desensitized to it. His response to Kore's concerns do come across as very flippant, because to him, the drama is inevitable and fleeting. He's blocked many people and BEEN blocked, so now whenever stuff like that happens to him, it rolls right off him - or at the very least, he recovers pretty quickly - because, well, it's definitely not the first time, and it won't be the last, so why worry? Why not just roll with it and maybe share in a laugh over some petty online drama?
By and large, his practical advice underneath all the teasing and laughter isn't actually incorrect - under normal circumstances (as those are the circumstances Kore and Apollo are both applying due to not being aware of other factors at play such as the eye-pulling) Apollo is technically right that if Alex - and subsequently, Hades - suddenly ghosted Kore out of the blue without explanation, then clearly it was a one-sided relationship and Kore shouldn't waste her tears over someone who could dump her so easily. Though he's coming across as very inconsiderate towards Kore's feelings, his heart is in the right place. Even when he asks "wait you're actually upset??" it's not him being deluded to Kore's feelings - it's him realizing that what happened is actually deeply affecting her, she's not talking about what happened to talk shit or "spill the tea", she's talking about it because she's looking for comfort and validation, something Apollo typically isn't looking for whenever he's going through fallouts in his relationships.
Through his eyes, someone blocking him randomly out of the blue simply communicates, "That person clearly isn't on my level, so I guess it's better for them to haul themselves out of my life willingly before I throw them out forcefully." But through Kore's eyes, she's seeing herself as the reason for her own abandonment. She's not accustomed to the superficial norms of social media (or the vanity of the Olympians) and how they differ from how people typically behave in the Mortal Realm. She's never really experienced someone just disappearing from her life, at least not in this way. She can't just say "bye Felicia" as confidently and arrogantly as Apollo can. Though it's a dick move for Apollo to immediately jump to joking around / laughing in her face over the matter, that's just the coping mechanism he's accustomed to and he wrongly assumed that it would translate to Kore's situation as well.
That said, that's also under normal circumstances. There are obviously more complicated factors at play here (none more so than the eye-pulling torture) that explain both Alex's and Hades' perspectives as to why they're distancing themselves from Kore without notice. From Kore's perspective though - and by extension, Apollo's perspective, framed by Kore - she's being cut out of people's lives for reasons she doesn't know, and it's drudging up a lot of anxiety and imposter syndrome and making her feel like it's all her fault.
And there's nothing worse than feeling like you're suffering consequences for things you aren't even entirely sure you did (or didn't do) in the first place.
Long tangent aside - Apollo is being supportive in the only way he knows how, and Kore is reacting in the only way she's ever known. Both Kore and Apollo have their own issues that they haven't healed from, issues that we'll be unpacking more as the series goes on. Though they both have similar trauma in regards to their past relationships and how they were raised, it's manifested in different ways - Kore is indecisive and terrified of committing to relationships out of fear of ruining them, while Apollo has built a shield of arrogant grandiose around him to prevent him from ever getting hurt again, even if it means looking/acting like an asshole.
This is also, by and large, why I don't make it a matter of "picking sides" when discussing Kore and Apollo. They both have reasons and explanations as to why they are the way that they are. They just aren't capable yet of bridging that gap and meeting in the middle - so it's currently creating a tense, unrecognized standoff between fight and flight.

Nami's Zou dress ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Who can blame Sanji? 😏💙🧡
Was Pudding’s character supposed to be a variant of Nami?
Disclaimer: At first I read the manga from a normal One Piece persepective. This is just a thought I came to after re-reading the manga multiple times. This does not have to change your way of viewing Pudding.
It has come to a point in the manga where Oda is having difficulty drawing beautiful women in a different style. A lot of people are saying that many women in One Piece are just clones of Nami and Robin. That may be true, I personally do not blame Oda for that but they have the right to say that.
However, what I want to talk about is how it felt to me (after re-reading) that Pudding is somewhat of a variant, a different version, of Nami in a “Narrative” way. And a little bit art wise...
First, let me start from the very beginning:
Ok now hear me out.... to the SaNami ship 373 is the holy number, but I would assume numbers 3 (Nami) and 5 (Sanji) also play an important role as well. Big Mom has 39 daughters, but Oda decided for Pudding to be the 35th.
If you dont think of these numbers as a thing, then this point is invalid for you. Totally fine with that👍🏻.
Next we have:
Even as a SaNami fan, I was really surprised how Sanji totally skipped on complimenting Pudding in her wedding dress. I did not think that was possible. I dont know if the translations are correct for the Nami one, but I believe in other versions, plus the anime, Sanji said “Only Nami would look good in a pure white dress”. As for Pudding, she had to seduce him in order for.... that...to happen (His face is scary af to be honest😂). They are the only two women to wear a wedding dress in front of him, which supports the idea of Pudding being a variant of Nami in a way.
As for the art and design:
I am not going to talk about how similar they look, instead, I want to talk about extensions. If you look at those two panels, it seems as though Pudding is just Nami with add-ons. To elaborate: instead of one pearl earing, Pudding has 4, instead of a bun, Pudding had twin-tails as well. Lipstick, no lipstick.... get what I am saying?
I am not good at editing, but if someone would remove the extended hair, remove the bottom 3 pearls and tone down the lipstick, you might be able to understand what I am saying a bit more.
Also, I already have a feeling not many will agree but that’s ok... we move.
She was also the only women aside from Nami that he reacted like that because of cuteness. Notice how in these two instances Sanji knew that what he was facing was an enemy?
But of course, many will say Sanji sees almost all women as cute. And that is true😅, but:
Both Sanji and Nami agree that “Nami being cute” is a reason.
One Major aspect of Pudding’s character is that she is 100% and straightforward tsundere. But again, I am not going to talk about how Nami can be a tsundere as well, but I want to highlight a certain character choice:
In this translation, they wrote “My dear” but in the Japanese version she clearly says “-san❤️”. Do you see where I am going with this? Oda decided to have Pudding be hostile and offensive in all her dialouge except for “- san” for the most part.
Maybe he is emphasizing the point that these honorifics are more important than people think. Pudding lets out all her love in “-san”, and “-san” “-kun” honorifics are a big part of Sanji-Nami dynamic.
People say that Nami uses “-kun” as just a way to return respect for Sanji calling her “-san” (give and return), and I will not argue with that. That is most likely true. But now, no one can say with complete certainty that it can not mean anything else...
After all...
Oda showed us that he is fully aware on that topic. And one more thing.... Sanji did not stop calling Nami with “-san”, so her removing it herself has nothing to do with give and return.
So people might question... why I am against Sanji being with Pudding if she is another version of Nami? Isn’t that good enough or the same?
No. Simply because she is not Nami...
Pudding has yet to see the world. She did not know herself yet:
A lot of people seemed to have overlooked this moment but to Sanji, Pudding is nothing but a lost soul. If he accepted her it would just be him taking advantage of her innocent side.
To him, he was just glad that he was able to help her realize that herself.
