I love using sculptures as reference! This time I used Prosper d' Epinay statue "Sylvie". I must admit I haven’t drawn in a while so this turned out a lil messy, but hey that’s fine I guess. Still happy with the result!

It's giving 'mother who just wants her child to be happy but also knows that he's broken beyond repair and hates that she can't help' and 'son who has already accepted his fate, however reluctantly, but still wants his mum to not worry about him because he doesn't think he deserves her love, however much he wants it'. But it's also giving 'mother and son who love each other with all the gentleness in the world, but with a wall between them that neither can breach'.
