Day 7 of Mayrius!!!! Idols!!!!

Darius has mentioned a good number of people he's looked up to, but I wanted to focus on Dr. Grant, Mitch, and his dad

I really want Darius to meet Dr. Grant - the man's dealt w dinosaur islands TWICE and he knows how horrible it gets and has encountered a kid who got stuck for a prolonged time like the cc kids, I just think he'd be very understanding and comforting

The other two are, naturally, from the past and are supposed to be more faint to give them a ghostly vibe, representing past idols (with the absolute intent that yes he only still respects one of these men - but maybe he wishes it was different still? 👀)

Anyway! That's the last Mayrius prompt, but the whole month is still for our favorite Dino Nerd! I can't wait to see what comes of him in s3 tomorrow!!!!!!

Day 6 of Mayrius, Fossils!

I know people have talked about Blue interacting w the kids so I just thought it would be cute/funny if Darius tried to communicate with her using the "raptor call"

I desperately want to see more of Brand and Darius. So for family I doodled them playing video games together, complete w the way taller siblings like to use their shorter sibling(s) as armrests (yes this is from experience)

Originally I think it was supposed to be Dino instead of Paleo??? Not sure why I changed it hdksbdjkd, but here we are!

In my dream world the compies can be domesticated into sweet lil pets, this one? This one shall be known as pizza.

Unfortunately I got sick so I can't complete full drawings like I wanted to, so I'll likely be posting pencil sketches like this!

I think Darius and Gray should be friends they're like the same age and dino geniuses, so I drew them bonding!

I want to make a more proper sketch for them some day, but I'm hoping this inspires a friendship trend 👀

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous 

Returning 2021.

Okay I should have been updating on the Camp Cretaceous panel as I watch:

1. They didn’t want Bumpy to be Scrappy-Doo

2. I’m onto Josie, who was in charge in the writer’s room, and she wanted a little bit of Breakfast Club and character bonding, and putting them on the run let them thrive

3. Sheela was super-excited to write for…or rather…she had no idea what to do with them: and it was hard to get a handle on whether “she was likeable” in regards to (I’m guessing Sammy? Or Brooklynn?)………and she was very concerned about the messages sent to teen girls…no! It was Yaz! But she was happy about how much the internet loved Yaz!

4. It’s because Yaz was surly and defensive at first. And that really helped…gosh I love.

5. Josie really relates to Darius. “We’ll all bring our dinosaur encylopedias that we all own–” oh wait.

7. Sheela: “Two glasses of wine in, we are all Sammy.”

9. Once they landed on the fact that Brooklynn was losing followers, it made her sympathetic. There were problems. 

10. Rick Williams really liked that they wanted to figure out what they were gonna see. The show is about more than kids running from dinosaurs (looking at you, Phoenix), but it’s all about the themes of bravery and loss and such.

Hey everyone!  Well, our show is OUT!!! I storyboarded on Camp Cretaceous, and the episodes went up on Netflix last week!

While I worked on multiple bits, my pride and joy is the action sequence for ep 7, “The Last Day of Camp”.

I want to give folks time to watch the show before I absolutely spoil everything, so here’s your warning!  FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd I will be posting select storyboards and talking about the timeline/process for boarding an episode of Camp Cretaceous (and sharing some silly memes I made during production)
