Fall Registered Student Organization Fair

On September 27th, Student Organizations & Activities held their bi-annual RSO Fair. This is a privilege that registered student organizations have access to if they choose to participate. This year we hosted almost 300 student orgs throughout the Norris Center, East, and West Lawns. Groups ranged from Freshman Fifteen (an a capella group) to 64 Squares (chess group) our campus involvement opportunities were well represented.

This year SOA partnered with SustainNU: Office of Sustainability to have the RSO Fair “Go Green.” The SOA team, as well as student groups, normally spend a nice chunk of money on printing signs, maps, flyers, and lists of the groups. Groups were encouraged to Go Green and sign a Green Initiative pledge. Those who went completely paperless were “gold” status and those who reduced paper were “silver” status. Not only were those groups recognized on our advertising for the fair, but they were also a given financial reward for their efforts. We hope to continue this partnership to continue to make our campus a more sustainable community.

Our Winter RSO Fair, which may feature new RSO’s will take place January 19th, 2016. Registration will be open from 12/07/15 until 1/11/16 on Wildcat Connection.
