Bugust Day 2: Boss Sundays!

We’re doing Bug Fables Plus for boss sundays! Thought it’d be a fun way to show some love to the mod and its memorable superbosses! Bug Fables Nonogram #8

I wanted to post this one yesterday but I couldn't figure out what to write about lol. Here it is now, though! Conversely to my previous two this is probably my hardest puzzle yet, so hopefully no one gets stumped.

I've been liking the 10x10s, but the 15x15s do offer quite a bit more space for getting creative with the drawing. Most of my 10x10s are recreations of existing sprites from the game, but all of my 15x15s are original works. I enjoy both, so it's nice to mix it up sometimes

Leif: She was right, that hat is adorable.

Vi: Meh. It’s alright, I guess.

Leif: You’re just desensitized because you grew up around bees. It’s a cute hat

Vi: I’m still just mad that we had to buy it from Beil.

Kabbu: How many bees do you still have grudges with that you haven’t told us about?

Vi: Hey, it’s not her specifically! It’s just that she runs Mothiva’s brand.

Kabbu: But-

Vi: Yeah, yeah, “Mothiva isn’t evil and I shouldn’t tell people she eats babies” or whatever. That doesn’t mean I’m going to give her money! Beil can sell all the dumb scarves she wants but she won’t get another penny out of me as long as she does.

Leif: But Vi… we get all of Chompy’s accessories from Beil…

Vi: …

Vi: Dang it… you’re lucky I’m willing to compromise my morals for you, you little goober.

For people who are interested in my nonogram puzzles

I'm curious, because I have received one complaint and another mention of it, but are the wavy lines of my board too distracting? I hand drew them to try and match the art style, but the user experience should come first and if it's too bothersome I can straighten them out

First Forsaken Lands background!! Little hard to tell because of the gaussian blur, but yeah that's the fog. Another relatively easy puzzle, fitting for how easy the art was to make lol

Mothfly

Kabbu: These are truly remarkable creatures, are they not? They’re highly intelligent, and surprisingly co-ordinated with one another!

Kabbu: I recall while we were assisting that firefly, I watched a small unit carry a pumpkin over a pit, using the fans to speed them along and reduce their fatigue! It was an ingenious technique.

Vi: Oh yeah, I think I saw some of them directing the others away from some predators. I guess they are kinda cool.

Leif: We once watched them descend upon and swallow up a Plumpling in their swarm. By the time they had departed, all that remained was an empty, blackened husk.

Bug Fables Nonogram #6

Been a little bit, but I'm back!! Touched up the text a little so it bothers me less. It's slightly smaller with a slightly thicker outline, so there should be no more single pixel gaps in the middle of the 2s.

Truth be told, the Lost Sands background would have been more fitting but I was getting SO tired of using it lol. The puzzle is still somewhat relevant to the Golden Settlement, anyway =]

This is probably my easiest puzzle by the way. Hopefully the art and the writing will make up for the difficulty! It's got some small headcanons in it this time

Bee Guard

Kabbu: I’ve been thinking about what you told us about the bee guards, Vi, and it… I cannot get over it. They are truly fated to work as guards whether they like it or not?

Vi: Well, I mean, it’s not like they’re being held at spearpoint, right? They don’t have to be a guard, but it’s what they were raised for, so it’s what they do.

Leif: The illusion of choice.

Vi: Kind of? Like, if you’ve got a thing for art or science or whatever, you can do that instead. We’ve got bee doctors and bee engineers, but if you’re not doing anything like that you’re either in the guard or in the factory.

Vi: Jaune was no good at combat training, but she found out she could paint well so the queen was content with letting her get a studio.

Kabbu: I can’t help but feel that it’s still quite restrictive… How are bees supposed to find what their true passion is if they are expected to fill one role by default?

Vi: THAT’S.

Vi: WHAT I’M SAYING!!!!

Leif: Oh dear, we fear you’re struck a nerve.

Vi: THE FACTORY’S HALF CONTROLLED BY ROBOTS!! THEY HAVE A MILLION GUARDS THAT NEVER DO ANYTHING!! JUST LET THEM DO WHAT THEY WANT!!

Leif: You’d think they would have learned this lesson after one of their own helped save the kingdom.

Kabbu: I suppose systemic change doesn’t happen overnight.

Leif: Queen Bianca loves us, we ought to argue our case to her.

Vi: That’s a great idea…! Let’s make some real change!

Leif: We’ll set up a board with all our points laid out neatly. Chompy can hold the pointer for extra emotional manipulation points.

Kabbu: Please do not call it that…

Really proud of this one!! I think it's a lot cleaner than my last few and I'm actually really happy with how the dialogue turned out! That + the completed image can be found under the cut as always

Kabbu: I follow a few scientific journals from the Bee Kingdom, apparently research into the subject keeps getting dead-ended.

Vi: Did your geek boyfriend show you that, Kabs?

Kabbu: …And so what if he did? (Boyfriend??)

Vi: All I’m saying is that it’s totally ghosts, guys.

Leif: You don’t say.

Vi: Obviously the spirits of past factory workers are rising from their honey’d graves to torment their bosses for sucking so bad!

Leif: No, the ghosts are definitely in the robots. Don’t you remember those creepy things the Menders said when they were broken down?

Kabbu: Don’t remind me.

Kabbu: In any case, if there are ghosts in the Honey Factory, they’re definitely piloting the tram.

Kabbu: How else can you explain it moving all on its own?

Vi: It’s electric, old man. It’s operated remotely by a technician, or something.

Leif: Didn’t you wave to someone in a control booth on our ride?

Kabbu: …Oh gods that is what that was…

Here's another one!! Bit of a pain to expand the board but now that it's done I'll be able to use these as a base for many puzzles. Again I'd love to see if anyone decides to solve this!!

Leif: …We mean, probably not though, right?

Kabbu: Very little seems to escape her knowledge, and she has observed our journey since at least the flood. Whatever her first impression of you, it is sure to have changed by now.

Venus: Yeah, she probably thinks you’re super cool now.

Kabbu: ACK!! L-Lady Venus!! 

Venus: Ehehe~ It’s true, though! Rocky first impressions aside, you’ve all matured quite a lot since we met! So don’t worry, Kabbu’s rubbing off on you just fine.
