Utterly Lost || Kyouhei and Gumi

Every direction he glanced in, Kyouhei couldn’t spot a single landmark that was familiar. Rubbing the back of his neck, he debated calling his mother until she picked up, however unlikely that was. She was most likely asleep at home, considering she worked night shifts and slept during the day. Last night must have been a particularly rough shift because it was extremely rare for her to forget to pick him up from wherever he went.

He was reaching his hand into his pocket when he felt someone tap his shoulder. As expected, Kyouhei jumped and spun around, surprised to see a green-haired girl approximately his age standing behind him. “Wh-Wh-” he stuttered, eyes widened. “O-Oh, man, you scared me real good!” 

There was something familiar about her and he automatically assumed it was because they attended the same school. After all, it wasn’t as if there were many other high schools besides Glendale. “Uh, hey,” he said, taking in a calming breath of air. “Hahaha… Yeah, I’m totally lost. Really lame, right? I’ve lived here for years and I still get lost… horrible sense of direction of mine, you see, so I…” he rambled.

Looks like she did scare him after all. Gumi had to hold a small laugh as he jumped slightly and she gave him a sheepishly smile, rubbing the back of her neck.   "Aha sorry to surprise you like that."the girl said sincerely, listening to the boy talk. It wasn't that lame that he got lost though she swore he had been living in Newstark for a few years already, seeing that she had seen in him school plenty of times before. She placed a finger in front of him to shush him as she began speaking. "Let me get this straight, you got lost but you've lived here for years but you have a bad sense of direction which got you lost and now you need help finding your way back?"Gumi asked, her green eyes gazing at him, looking for an answer. "I could help you if you want."

Grocery Shopping} Gumi & Kyouya;

Kyouya was not a terrible chef, but he was not a world-class one either, unfortunately. Life would be simpler if he were.

The grocery store was neat and tidy, and the good were clean and fresh. Not everything was as high-quality as he was used to, nor did it have an extensive selection of exotic ingredients, but he would make do.

Sacrificing good taste for some time on his own was well-worth it.

He went about his business, carrying a handheld cart and filling it with whatever took his fancy. He was in no hurry.

"Carrots cake, carrot cupcakes, carrot pie, carrot soup, carrot dishes~!"Gumi said happily to herself as she sorted out the good and bad bundles of carrots, excited that they were on sale today. After doing that, the girl headed down the aisle, nearing crashing into a taller boy who was picking out some fruits. "A-Ah! I'm sorry about that!"Gumi apologized sincerely, an embarrassed look on her face as she took a look at the fruits he was selecting. Strawberries were on sale today? Pushing that matter aside, the girl attempted to start a conversation, seeing that she did bump into him and all. There was no harm in making a new friend right? "The strawberries here are always the sweetest!"

Gumi giggled at the blue haired boy's reaction as she nodded her head, agreeing with him. "It's great to see someone believe in true love! It' silly that some people don't and then they fall in love themselves."Gumi huffed.
