"Actually, I saw a poster across the street for this really sweet-looking movie at Galaxy Cinemas. I was wondering if you weren't too busy, d'you wanna go see it with me? It kinda reminded me of James Bond or somethin' -- y'know, a spy themed movie. Maybe we could bring more people, too, if you want. How's that sound?"

"Sometimes birds try to nest in my hair, right? One summer the same pigeon kept coming back and chillin' in my hair whenever I was playing outside with my friends. Sokka nodded. “I have to agree. I like more secluded places myself, so I’m glad we picked Rosedale. And that’d be great!”

"Yeah! You're lucky. If my mom didn't have a job in the city, I'd want to live in Rosedale. Maybe when I graduate from school, I'll move there. Who knows?" he shrugged casually. "Anyway, just tell me when you wanna hang 'n I'll show you some of the hot spots in Newstark!"

Kyouhei wasn't expecting a response, especially not from a cute girl that he'd talked to before. Gulping, he ignored the light blush on his cheeks as he turned a grin toward Mairu. "Sure, that'd be great!" he agreed cheerfully. "I'm surprised that no one has asked you yet, though. You sure you wanna go with me?" He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"W-Well, I saw that ad for the all ages party at Revolution and I was wondering if anyone wanted to go with me? As an, um, d-date... I know I'm not that cool or anything, but I can clean up really well and I promise I'll give you a good time. I-I'll pay for everything, too! I promise!"

Utterly Lost || Kyouhei and Gumi

Gumi pushed the doors of Bartley’s Cafe open, stepping out into the sunlight and glancing down at her watch. 4:42 pm. Gumi still had plenty of time to locate her bike, head to the store to pick up some groceries, get on her bike and make it home in time to watch the marathon of Heartstrings, possibly her favorite drama of all time. Zooming down the street, making sure not to crash into anyone or anything, Gumi turned the handles, nearly falling off her bike as she spotted a brunette, possibly someone from her school and in the same class as Yamamoto. Placing a foot down to stop the bike from sliding or moving any further, the girl took a moment to analyze the boy, debating if she should ask if he was lost or if he was just heading in the same direction.

“Crap, where am I?”

Hearing his words, Gumi guessed he was lost after all. Looks like she wasn’t going to make it home in time for the marathon after all but hey, helping out someone as a good thing right? Getting off her bike, she came up behind the boy, tapping his shoulder, hoping he wouldn’t get startled but he probably would. “Hey are you lost?”

Every direction he glanced in, Kyouhei couldn't spot a single landmark that was familiar. Rubbing the back of his neck, he debated calling his mother until she picked up, however unlikely that was. She was most likely asleep at home, considering she worked night shifts and slept during the day. Last night must have been a particularly rough shift because it was extremely rare for her to forget to pick him up from wherever he went.

He was reaching his hand into his pocket when he felt someone tap his shoulder. As expected, Kyouhei jumped and spun around, surprised to see a green-haired girl approximately his age standing behind him. "Wh-Wh-" he stuttered, eyes widened. "O-Oh, man, you scared me real good!" 

There was something familiar about her and he automatically assumed it was because they attended the same school. After all, it wasn't as if there were many other high schools besides Glendale. "Uh, hey," he said, taking in a calming breath of air. "Hahaha... Yeah, I'm totally lost. Really lame, right? I've lived here for years and I still get lost... horrible sense of direction of mine, you see, so I..." he rambled.

Kyouhei blushed at the topic. "I, uh... I've never been in love. I've had crushes on girls before when I was younger. Does that count? I used to follow after this one really pretty girl in grade two like I was a lost puppy dog... I haven't really liked anyone since, but I know there's gotta be someone out there for me!"

Do your friends find you cute?

"I don't know, you'd have to ask them themselves. I can't speak for 'em! Eheh, not like I have any friends, though."

"Friends that treat me like a king?" Kyouhei gazed at the anon as if he thought they were crazy. "Nah, I wouldn't want my friends to treat me like I'm a king or anything. I mean, what friends I do have are important to me and I would never think less of them!"

Sokka smiled cheerfully. “Ahh, well I moved to Rosedale about a week ago from down South.” He told him.

"Just a week ago? You're pretty new to these parts, then, aren'tcha?" Kyouhei smiled. "I'm from Newstark myself, but I love visiting Rosedale. The fresh air is a real nice change from the stuffy city air here. Hey, if you want, I could always show you around! I've lived here for almost eight years."
